My Child – CHAPTER SIX
——–
“Hello, Mom!” Mario greeted Tina as he entered the house.
“Hey, boy.” Tina greeted her son and kissed him on the cheek.
“Are Max and Bette coming tonight?” He asked.
“Yes, they are. Max is bringing his daughter and Bette is bringing her kids to.” Tina told her boy, she was feeling nervous because she would see Bette again; every night they called for about 15-20 minutes, just talking about their day or about something they read or saw. They were becoming very close friends.
“Bette has kids? I didn’t know.” Mario said while he put his new backpack in his room and began untying his shoes.
“Yes, Kenneth, Hannah and Jasmine.” Tina said.
“Oh, okay. Max’ daughter is Carina, right?” He asked.
“Yes. That’s right.”
“I’m going to my room to play on my guitar, okay?” Mario asked.
“Yes, but only for half an hour. You have to do your homework.” Tina said.
“Yes, Mom.” Mario said and walked to his room. Tina smiled a small smile. Since Mario was beginning to play his guitar and learned some karate, he had become a much happier child. The police had identified about five kids and talked to their parents. They had stopped bullying him but now there were other kids in the picture. They didn’t touch him but were more verbal. It was hard for Mario but he was glad the hitting and kicking was over.
Tabitha walked in all smileys. “Hi, Mom!” She greeted her happily.
“Hi, doll. What’s gotten into you?” Tina asked with a smile.
“Seth Weston kissed me!” Tabitha said, almost dancing. Tina’s eyes widened.
“Who is he? I mean, do I know him?” Tina asked.
“He is the coolest guy in school!” Tabitha said, annoyed her mother didn’t know him. She kicked her shoes of and placed her backpack in her room.
“How old is he?” Tina asked.
“15. I have been friends with him for a few months and now he kissed me… you know… on the lips and then asked me out. Please, tell me I can go to the movies with him, Mom.” Tabitha begged. Tina sighed.
“I don’t know him.” Tina said.
“You’ll get to know him when he picks me up… Come on, Mom, he is really handsome and tall and smart and friendly and romantic and such a good kisser!” Tabitha was all over the place.

Go on Bette!!Happy mario is having everybody to support him.
Go Bette!Thank you for the update.PPS
I am so loving how this story is progressing. The circumstances that brought these people together was tragic but they are bonding into a happy supportive extended family and that is so great to see. Things seem to be getting better for Mario and it’s good to read that he’s now having some joyful moments. Really sweet chapter. Thank you for taking a chance on a story that doesn’t get told too often.
Yay bette and tina are getting closer
Mario seems to be having a good time with Bette’s family and all the children are getting along great. Mario also seems to be getting that self confidence and feeling much better about himself since he brought out the guitar in front of the others and began to play and didn’t seem to be afraid or self-conscious at all. That is a very good sign that he is doing much better and also the karate lessons have helped him as well. So glad that Bette and Tina are getting along great as well. Looks as though we will have a new romance to think about and enjoy. Thanks for posting.
That was awesome and love it !
