Then the professor choose another picture, there were three young teenagers, a blonde Kristen, a light brown-reddish hair Maxine and in the middle of them a dark brown hair Louise protected by the arms of the girls that she loved the most, it was always in the same way, as a life compensation, the love that she lost in her puberty for the death of her siblings and parents, was substituted for the love she accidently found with these two girls during her adolescence; then she took a chip and plugged it her htab to watch videos and pictures, the holo picture of Maxine, Kristen and herself came as living ethereal statues of the prehistorical time of her existence, she keep looking the visual material, with her wet eyes, until the picture of her wedding, which wasn’t the most important day of her life, but one of the saddest ones, not only for her but also for Kristen and Maxine; the day that they broke their friendship, and everything again was her fault; she couldn’t forget and forgive her audacity; she was used to the threesome oddness relationship, to the deep bond with her two devoted friends, but the balance of her heart has lately leaned toward the oldest girl, Maxine, conversely, the brown-reddish hair girl, now scholar, has been expended more time with Kristen, though it was job time, it made Louise jealous and insecure, one afternoon after classes the three young scholars and lovers were talking at the apartment they share close to New CalTech, Maxine had noticed how the mood had changed in Louise lately, and tried to calm and clean the waters, asking what was bothering her, to which, Louise answered ‘I feel that something is missing in my life, I want to have a child, to have a family…, perhaps to have a partner’ the answer wasn’t selfish, indeed she was hoping one day to be a mother; but her intentions weren’t sincere, because she wasn’t thinking in a child as a motive of her uneasiness until five minutes ago; she love both lovers almost with the same intensity and devotion, but she was falling a little bit more for Maxine, though she didn’t want to lose Kristen, and she didn’t understand, before her last word, the implications of her statement, but it was already done, there was not turning back she was trapped in her own emotional net. Maxine knew her very well and days after, she questioned Louise in private ‘what is the real deal Louise, you could have a baby with any of us and we could still be a family’ and Louise answered ‘it doesn’t have to be with any of you’, Maxine took it as a challenge and left; the dark brown hair scientist is now tightly locked in her own net; days later, it was Kristen who invited Louise for a coffee and proposed, the Latina was shocked, but she couldn’t deny, when she saw the love in her friend and lover’s face, as she saw days before the same in the other, the brown-reddish hair beloved woman. There was no way out, and with a terrible pain in her heart she accepted; little she knew that Maxine and Kristen have discussed Louise situation and though Maxine really wanted to marry Louise, she loved Kristen too; but Maxine was especial, she gave herself always to her friends, she never doubted in making sacrifices for her loved ones, and she decided how this situation was going to end, so she gave green light to Kristen.

And Melvin a asexual man, in this case you can’t speak; like father and daughter. Bette is contrary to her father, a very sexual woman.

Yes, I better would say respect Bette like mother like daughter; she inherited all her sexual drive, protectiveness, and intelligence from Maxine; her shyness, her ability to ‘change’ and being different from Melvin. Louise has to address and fix her relationship with Tina for the first and last time, otherwise, they would drive apart. Thanks so much for reading and commenting, I hope to update soon.

You may be right, about emotions and feelings but I was talking about emotions = feelings + sensations, indeed I was referring to the fact that hormones are mysterious sets of chemicals that could be released sometimes for effect of emotions or feelings or sensations, for example, if you are afraid of something, your body starts releasing hormones, if you are happy, your body releases other types of hormones, sometimes strong emotions force you to release many different hormones and in very different quantities; the role of hormones is to generate responses to face the danger, pleasure or whatever situation you are living. Now, the production of hormones is linked to the activity of enzymes that are certain type of proteins that acts as factories of hormones, and if the last ones are not enough, the ‘stress’ of the situation (emotion, feeling or sensation), forces the productions of more enzymes or through alternative mechanisms, producing same or different proteins to supply the adequate amount of hormones. The production of proteins is codified in DNA, and it is the RNA the one in charge to execute the ‘order’ coming from the DNA. It is known that we have ‘parts’ in our DNA that have not codification (or it is unknown) for genes, what I am assuming here (and that is part of the fantasy) is that those unknown regions in our DNA, have genes that usually don’t express (they don’t form proteins, or don’t have apparent function), they have existed since a long time ago as ‘mutations’ (indeed hidden mutations); I also assume that all our ‘inner demons’ are blocking emotions, feelings, and sensations, then they are blocking the production of certain hormones and then blocking any alternative mechanism of production of enzymes, so the hidden genes are repressed. So, this is why Louise has to ‘release’, to face her demons (to free her tormented soul) to be able to activate those hidden genes and then after exposing herself to the magnetic fields, she could achieve the ‘change’. About to tell Tina and Bette the truth, this is something Louise has been thinking since chapter 1, she wanted the two girls to be friends in order to slowly talk to them about their mothers, but things didn’t happen as she expected, the two girls, instead, fell in love. Louise has to fix things with Tina, and also with Bette.
