Now Bette nods
but sex… my mom… and you…yuck, that is impossible and extremely disgusting”
Bette: “you don’t believe that I have those feelings for Louise, do you?”
Tina: “nooo…, Bette of course not, you are incapable, she is practically your half mother… and for my mom side, I know her, I know her thinking, her values, her virtues, her flaws and these is why I was jealous, because I know how she loves you, the way that she sees you”
Bette: “T…, I never wanted to compete with you for your mother love…”
Tina: “shush… it’s okay babe, now forget about that and kiss me”
Bette: “there is something else”
Tina: “shit…, Bette spill everything now”
Bette: “Maura and Jane said today when I talked with them by hphone that they saw Brenda and Jody entering Jody’s building before the storm”
Tina: (smiling) “wow, that is interesting, but don’t worry babe, I’m here to defend you”
Bette: (smiling) “funny and cocky Kennard”
Tina: (kissing) “I will show you how funny I am… (hot kissing) why don’t we go to bed”
New Pasadena, 11:45 a.m. Sunday, February 6, 2056. New CalTech –SAC third floor – temporary Bette Porter’s quarters
Bette and Tina have finished setting the table for lunch and the food is already ordered, fortunately, Phyllis authorized free food from any cafeteria in the SAC for Bette’s group, so the food will be free as when they were in their building, but this time it is additionally tasty, well prepare, varied and the best thing, they don’t have to prepare it or program the automatic cooker machines to do it.
Tina: “Bette, how many are we going to be here?”
Bette: “I think…, twelve”
Tina: “fine I’ll set twelve places”
Bo and Lauren are the first in arrive
Bo: “hi girls, who else is coming”
Bette: “Alice, Dana, Maura, Jane, Stef, Lena, Oliv and Alex”
Lauren: “wow, are all of them the ‘changed’?
Bette: “I think so”
Bette: (taking the girls aside) “I told Tina about Jody and Kelly, Maura said Brenda and Jody were together in Jody’s group house”
Lauren “you did the right thing talking to your girlfriend”
At that moment Jane, Maura, Stef and Lena are arriving and the girls start talking, Stef approaches Tina asking about yesterday’s events. After 5 minutes Alice, Dana, Olivia and Alex entered the room, Dana goes directly to hug and kiss Tina, but almost immediately pulls away, as soon as she noticed Bette serious face and furrowed forehead.
Bette: “okay girls, why don’t we sit at the table?”
The girls, start feeling their plates and commenting about yesterday’s happenings and their new abilities, Bette and Tina tell them about the hphone, the call to Louise, the lightning, the mirror and they make an account of all their new abilities
Jane – her mind move around when she sleeps
Maura – long distance sight
Stef – extremely high speed
Oliv – extremely high speed
Lena – mind reader
Alex – mind reader
Alice – sense and hear things from very far away
Dana – sense and see things from very far away
Lauren – mind reader
Bo – mind reader, foreseen, energy-sucker
Tina – mind reader, extremely high speed, wormhole tracker
Bette – mind reader, foreseen, wormhole tracker
They explain each other under which conditions their abilities appeared and there were two common denominators, a weather event more specific, a storm, and an extreme feeling, love. They observed also that those abilities are still changing, making them stronger or developing additional skills.
All the girls acknowledge that their changes are related to the portals or X points and the flux transfer events that have been happening since Louise’s vessel got stuck in old LA.
Finally, they decided that the priority is to rescue Louise.
Bette: “now the thing is how to do it”
Jane: “well, we have lot of power with us, but first we need to find the file Bette-456 to break the magnetic fields”
Alex: “but, Tina made a phone that went through the fields without problems, why don’t we study how this works”
Alice: “we could use Jane ability, we could make her sleep and she could go through the fields and check on Louise”
Lena: “yes, she could but it won’t bring Louise here”
Tina: “what about the wormhole?”
All the girls stop talking and look at Tina
Maura: “Tina, tell us more about the wormhole”

Phew, happy that Tina is alright!
Sciencefiction is not something that interest me, but your story is a exception.
The “changed” girls found each other, and i am looking forward to see how they are gonna rescue Louise.

You can believe it or not but I was also worry about Tina, she could decide to go to her mother that she saw through a window in the wormhole, but she came back to Bette, it was a hard decision.
Now the question is why they were attacked, lightning hitting exclusively building H-027, what do you think about that?
As far as we go, there are 12 ‘changed’ girls even though they may not be the only ones with potential abilities, however they were the ones that changed because a strong emotion, love, and their change was triggered by feeling their lovers or friends in distress or danger.
That is not usual in real live sometimes love makes us move heaven and earth even using hidden abilities, of course no like the ones in this story.
I’m very glad that you like my story and each time you guys make a comment it helps me to re-write my ideas and continue this story.

Let me see if intender correct me if I’m talking nonsense.
This means that we have a meta-human group, and Bette and Tina are
with more powers than the others … this group are humans who possuíem “biological variation” in their METAGENE. And that this gene remained dormant until activated with this extreme storm or feeling, which is Love. And this METAGENE uses the source of this action as a catalyst for such “genetic change” resulting in meta-human abilities? !! … our mother !! … It’s getting very interesting this story.
The entire universe.

Mutations are changes in the DNA sequence that regularly is present in certain population and it happens in single individual or group of individuals.
Evolution requires mutations that could be transferred to offspring
For mutations to be transferred to offspring they have to be in germ line cells (sex cells)
The mutations could take place in the following ways:
-By duplication of genes, where some of them remain originals (dominant and recessive genes)
-By activation of some genes, through environmental factors (including age)
-By mutations that take place in noncoding sequence (fragments) of DNA. DNA have sequences of units that coding traits (functions), these sequence are genes, however there are sequences of DNA that do not coding any trait (or not known genes)
Now, it is known that using biomolecular engineering or genetic engineering, the last type of mutations could be performed by “someone”

I hope I’m not boring you with these technicalities. This is what Louise is questioning herself after her third dream (former chapter); did “someone” play God altering the genetic material of the cryobanks? or was there a genetic mix of DNA from humans and other species, and now is about to be expressed? That could give some explanation or have relationship to what is called a METAGENE and METAHUMANS (in some sci-fi stories and comics, which by the way I love). But here this is not going to happen to a privileged group, but to the whole human race and in different levels and you will read what it will entail
