    My Life – chapter one

I sat down on the steps with a palm to my forehead. I had just run six miles, a usual morning routine of mine. I sigh deeply. I sigh again, again, and yet again. I’ve got my legs sprawled out on the front of the steps, my back is against the top of the steps, and I flip over and begin doing push-ups, yes, and three sets of four reps.  I guess you can tell that I’m fit. Exercise; great for the body, mind, and soul! Yea, hmph that’s what they said in med school. Yep med school been there done that. We’ll get to that later…

Mom and Mom, yes I did just say that, Tina Kennard- Porter a well known Holly Wood movie producer and an executive of development and Bette Kennard- Porter a gallery owner, a CU Art Dean, and  extremely well known in the art world- these are my parents. I don’t think I need to get into how I was brought into this world. It’s the twenty first century for god’s sake Google it! ‘How lesbians make babies!’—tah- dah!

Anyway I’m due to visit my parents in Los Angeles soon.  How I look forward to it… not! I mean who looks forward to going back home after college? I’ve graduated summa cum laude like Momma B had, but I didn’t go to an Ivy League school despite both my mom’s wishes. I could’ve but I really had my eyes set on New York University and that’s where I went. Momma B is a sucker to Momma T, therefore I begged Momma T to get her to allow me to go there.  It was perfect, well it has been perfect, really, and no one knows who you are and the city? What isn’t there to see? I’ve got an apartment in my favorite part of the city; the Upper Westside. It’s nice and quiet, plus it’s right beside Riverside Park. I just love waking up early and going running. Ugh only thing that sucks are those imbeciles who don’t pick up after their dogs. You couldn’t even guess how many times I had to scrape dog poop off my Nike’s because those idiots let them poop all over the terrain and the sidewalks. It’s like dodging mines for god’s sake! (Seriously what is wrong with those damn dog owners? Ignorant! Ughhhhhhhh)

    1. lol…does she really think she’s going to bed right now? I can see Bette climbing up the the side of her house and into her window…unless she all of a sudden want to study art. more please.

    2. Haha-I love this story already! Prob because I’m in med school and I and every single classmate have all at some point contemplated quitting! But since most of us have loans (instead of wealthy parents like Bette and Tina), we can’t afford to quit at the cost of $50,000/yr ! If art is Angie’s passion, I say go for it, because you have to love medicine to stick with it.

    3. great start… love it already… and i also agree with skycaptain… but ti will be a tie as to who gets to her room first… can’t wait for more…

    4. Great start! Rarely do we get a story featuring a grown up Angie, very interesting. As skycaptain, “does she really think they’re going to let her go to bed right now and that bomb while running out of the living room. After growing up with these two, what is she thinking?! Can hardly wait to read the next chapter. Thanks for sharing.

    5. That Angie is a difficult little character, very unique, I love her whit! But she needs to be more appreciative money dont grow on trees
