Naive Perception of Perfect Chapter 13
Chapter 13
Bettes eyes were blurry from tears. She could hardly see the road in front of her. She wasnt sure where she driving to but she had to get away. It became so apparent, sitting outside of that door, trying to get to Tina, that is was over. It killed Bette to think that Tina would never come home to her again. Bette knew then what she had to do. She had to tell Tina that she loved her enough to let her go. She would let Tina go and move on if that was what would make her happy. It might just kill Bette, but she knew she deserved to feel the pain all of her wrong decisions had caused. She pulled over to the side of the road. She needed to catch her breath and dry her eyes before she continued on.
Tina walked back into Alices apartment defeated. She wasnt sure why she chased after Bette. Did she want her back? No, she couldnt. What did she want? Tina was so lost. Her world was spinning out of control and she had no idea where she would land. She knew she could go back to Bette, but she wasnt sure if she was up to taking the chance. What if….what if Bette cheated again? What if Bette had cheated before? What if she could never really forgive Bette and then she grew bitter? Could she really take those risks? She went to find the bottle of vodka Alice always had stashed for rough days. She poured herself a shot and downed it. It burned her throat, for a second it took her mind off the pain in her heart. Things became clear at that moment…she was ready to take those risks. She needed Bette.
Alice pulled up to Bettes house. She got out of the car and walked to the door. Bette didn;t answer when Alice rang the bell. She hoped she wasnt out with Candace. Alice sat on the porch rocking herself back and forth. She needed Bette right now. ***** what happened with her and Tina! Alice DID care but right now she needed her best friend to talk to. She fucked up. She should have stayed and heard and Dana out. She should have grabbed Dana in her arms and never let her go. Alice thought about calling her. No, she couldnt. She had done enough damage. Alice really needed a shoulder to cry on right now! Where was Bette? She needed her.
Dana dragged herself to the couch and laid down. Where had the evening gone wrong? It was true she wasnt sure how to handle Tonya, but she wasnt lying when she said she loved Alice. She had loved her since the first time they met. That was way before Dana was out of the closet and she knew she couldnt give Alice what she needed. But now, now Dana was out and honest and ready to love her. Ready to be loved by her. Dana took a deep breath and grabbed her phone. She dialed quickly and waited to hear HER voice…
Dana: (fighting back tears) Tonya, we need to talk…

You have set this up nicely. I want Bette and Tina to talk and work out their problems. Dana is doing the right thing…she’s gotta end it with Tonya before she and Alice can have a beginning. Love this please continue.
