She gently ran her fingers through Bette’s dark curly mane. She loves running her fingers through her girlfriend’s hair. It was smooth, thick and well, simply put, it was Bette’s. And she knew that Bette also loves it. She knew that it brings calm to her love. Bette was starting to show signs of coming back to the world and Tina couldn’t help but smile. The eyes that she loves so much were fluttering and she was left at awe at how magnificent they were.

Bette smiled at Tina. “Hey you!”

“Hey you back.” Tina tenderly replied and gave Bette a soft kiss on the lips.

“You look deep in thought, T. Care to share?”

“I was just thinking about you and what I love about you and how much I love you.” Tina replied while running the back of her hand at her girlfriend’s face. “Babe, please know that there is nothing in this world that would make me let go of you. I don’t think I’ll know how to love again if it’s not you. If I lose you, I will search for you even at the ends of the earth, I will knock at every door and I will not stop until I find you. I don’t think I’ll let you go even if you tell me that you don’t want me anymore. I love you so much, Bette. There’s no one else for me but you. Do not ever forget that, k?”

Bette had tears in her eyes. She knew Tina loved her but the blonde has never professed her feelings for her in that detail. “I’m sorry for earlier, T. I just got scared. It was like all my insecurities came crashing over me. I’ll be better. And just so you know, I will never let go of you either. I’ll always be by your side as long as you want me to. This is it for me. I know that no one will ever compare and I don’t have to try just as so to prove that. I love you so much that I cannot quantify it. All I know is that my heart belongs to you.”

Tina leaned in and gave Bette a kiss. The kiss started slow and soon became passionate. What started out as a spat turned into a slow, passionate and long session of love making. Each was trying to profess the love that they had for the other.

Bette woke up and found herself encased on Tina’s arm. The sun was peering through the curtains and it was the dawn of a new day. Today’s a good day. Bette told herself. She did not need any more proof as the creamy arm that was casually draped across her body was enough to negate all the contradictions that there is on the outside world. She was thinking of the day before when she felt a light kiss on her shoulder followed by a morning greeting.

“Good morning, baby! How was your sleep?”

Bette turned around to face her lover. “Good morning, gorgeous. It was good. I haven’t slept that well since the last time you were here.”

“Was it me or the sex?” Tina asked with a smile.

“Both?” Bette laughed a bit. “You know I always sleep better with you around. Even before when we weren’t intimate yet.”

“I know. I feel the same.” Tina replied and gave her girlfriend a good morning kiss. “Good morning, B.”

“Good morning, T. What do you want for breakfast?” Bette asked.

“Good thing you mentioned that. I am hungry. Do we have bacon and eggs?” Tina eyes lit up.

“Hmmm… I don’t think so. But… What if we just go to the diner nearby and have a yummy yet greasy breakfast?”

“Really?”

“Yeah. We can do that. I know how you love those places.”

“You know me too well. We have to shower first, though. We smell like sex.”

“And what’s wrong with that?” Bette playfully asked.

“Bette! I don’t want other people smelling you. That is reserved for us and us alone.”

“Fine, you win that one. But don’t think that I’ll be able to keep the shower innocent. You know what water cascading through your gorgeous body does to me.”

“Well, if that’s the case, I’ll shower alone. I am too hungry to risk anything to delay our breakfast.” And with that Tina was up and on her way to the bathroom.

“Babe! You have got to be fucking kidding me!” Bette yelled.
