Never Love You Enough – Chapter 2

"You… You made her queer!" He yelled.

"Nobody makes someone queer but if it would work that way, you are the one to blame." Tina said. Peter frowned, balled his fist and tried to hit Tina. The blonde woman was faster. She grabbed his wrist and turned his hand, making him yelp in pain. She leaned forward and whispered in his ear: "If you ever come near MY girl again, you will be very, very sorry. Understood?" She asked. He nodded fast. Tina let him go and while he ran out of the office, she ran to Bette and turned the woman’s head, she saw the brown-haired woman’s cheek was red and would certainly be black and blue tomorrow. Bette felt stupid for wanting to cry. Tina saw that and didn’t hesitate to pull the woman into a hug. Bette hugged Tina close. She had never seen Peter like that.

"It’s fine, sweetie, it’s okay. He won’t come near you again." Tina whispered into Bette’s ear and kissed the brunette on top of her head. Kit, who heard the noise and had seen Peter storming out of the café, walked in. She saw her sister crying on Tina’s shoulder and rushed to their side.

"What happened?" She asked, very concerned.

    "Peter hit her." Tina explained.

Kit rubbed her sister’s back. "What a bastard."

Bette stepped out of Tina’s embrace but not before Tina had wiped away Bette’s tears.

“I didn’t know you were so strong.” She said to the blonde-haired woman.

“Where I live, you have to be able to deal with such ass holes.”

"Why did he do it?" Kit asked Bette.

Bette looked at her sister. "Because… I broke it off."

"Well, that’s good." Kit said. "You don’t want any abuser."

"Damn, this is going to look awful tomorrow." Bette said. Tina laid her hand on the bruised cheek and stroked it softly, careful not to hurt Bette.

"Don’t worry, it’ll look cute." Tina said.

Bette’s eyes lit up. "You think?" She asked shyly.

"I’m sure of it." Tina told her.

Kit’s eyes widened. ‘Holy shit… those two have a thing going on.’ she thought. She looked at her sister and couldn’t help but feel content for her sister. She had never seen Bette getting that happy because of someone’s words, except for her Dad. As much as Bette denied it, Bette was always looking for her Dad’s approval and appreciation, which was nearly impossible. Ki cleared her throat, making both woman jump.

    1. Like I said very promessing. Ihope Tina will get this job and take her mum and siblings out of there. she will need Bette support but I know she will have it. I just cannot believe Charles did not grabe the opportunity to get a job. tina is paying the parents for her siblings and I don’t think it is her role however she is the only hope of the family. I love the wayshe is looking after her family she is a little star.I cannot wait to see Bette and Tina relationship develop to a lovely love affair. I wold like some more please.

    2. Peter is an ass and Tina should have decked him, I don’t think we’ve seen the last of him. Cowards always have a way of showing up when they shouldn’t. Tina’s dad is probably somewhere drunk and can’t go to the interview. If Tina gets the job she should just take her mother and siblings and find a house elsewhere and leave her deadbeat father where he is, in the gutter. He is not trying to find a job and when one is handed to him he doesn’t go for it. I’m sure his excuse will be that he doesn’t need women finding jobs for him he can find his own job. The mother is struggling to make ends meet and keep the family together. She should just leave the jerk and get a divorce before she ends up pregnant again and not able to care for the children she has already. Tina should have asked Bette if she could call her back in just a little while instead of ending the conversation completely until their date the next day. After the children were asleep she could have called her back. They need to talk and not just when they have a date because Bette is not 100% sure of her feelings at the moment and needs to talk these things through with Tina. Thanks for the update.
