The
room was dim and the lamps lightly accented the walls. Shane and Carmen
had spent the whole night together at Carmen’s house where it was found
empty with no little kids running around and with no mother who was
usually yelling at them. It had been the first time Shane had been in
Carmen’s room and to her it was just another place to feel her body but
to Carmen it was a whole new experience.

    
Carmen lay on her bed, back turned towards Shane while she had already
been up getting ready to leave. As she buttoned up her shirt she looked
at the framed pictures that lay around Carmen’s room smiling at the
childhood Carmen once had. She was thoughtful and for some reason glad
Carmen didn’t have to face the world like she did. Turning occasionally
to see if Carmen had woken up, Shane continued looking at how important
family meant to her. Almost completely opposite as to what Shane felt
for hers. Instead of resurfacing her past, she quickly jumped to
another thought that always made her smile; the beautiful woman that
lay in the bed next to her. But even as the thoughts crossed each
other, it made her doubt their relationship. Shane never mentioned to
Carmen that she was beginning to feel for her on a whole other level.
She breathed Carmen like she needed air to survive, but still she kept
those feelings well inside where there rest of her lay buried. Caught
off guard while in thought, Shane heard a soft moan. She turned only to
witness Carmen stretching in her sheets.
  

“Hey.” Shane said.

“Hey”
Carmen replied with a smile. Shane couldn’t help it and walked over to
sit on the bed, back facing Carmen. Knowing Shane had been there a long
time, Carmen went on to say,

 ”You’re
going already? You just got here.” “I got some stuff I have to take
care of back home.” Shane was still not looking at her face. Carmen got
up and sat behind her, legs outlining Shane’s as they hung off the
side. She wrapped her arms around Shane’s body. Shane couldn’t help but
to let out a little grin.

“Don’t you have some stuff you have to take care of here?” Carmen asked in a ***** tone as she traced designs on Shane’s skin.
Shane chuckled trying not to let Carmen get the best of her.
