    The one where Bette and Tina go to dinner

    “Mommy has been telling me off “

    “I was not telling you off – I was asking you to behave for Shane “

    “Shane will be fine and if certain small people do NOT behave then the tickets I will be ordering to take her to see the Pixar movie next weekend will not be ordered. Are we clear on that Angelica ?”

    “Yes mommy “ Angie said quietly

    “Good girl – are we ready to go Ti ?”

    “Yes – fine “

    “Have a good evening “ Shane said smiling

    “We will “ Bette put on her jacket and taking Tina’s hand

    “Help yourself to anything you want in the fridge and freezer Shane “

    “We will be fine – go and enjoy yourself “

    “Give me a kiss “Tina said to Angie

    Angie jumped up and Tina hugged her.

    “Do I not get a hug ?” Bette asked

    Angie hugged Bette who whispered something in her ear. Angie laughed and hugged Bette tighter “Thank you mommy “

    “Right  – we are off – come on Bette “

    It wasn’t until  they were walking outside the apartment building that Tina spoke

    “What was that last scene about ?”

    “I told her I had booked the tickets”

    “When ?”

    “At work – she didn’t need to know that though –  especially when I saw the state of her room”

    “You are learning fast Bette “

    “Am I doing okay ?”

    “You are doing very well – she adores you “

    “it’s a two way thing – you know that “

    “I do “

    Bette hailed a cab and opened the door for Tina  to get in first. They chatted about Angie and Shane on the short trip to midtown Manhattan – Bette had booked a table at the romantic Beekman Tower Hotel  – with a view 26 stories above the city. They were shown to their table which had a fantastic view across the city. Bette grinned at the look of surprise and delight on Tina’s face

    “Wow Bette “

    “The best for my woman “ Bette said gently pulling out the chair to let Tina sit down.

    Bette sat down and smiled – the waiter asked if they wanted a drink while they decided on their order
