    Not The End, Chapter 47

“You sure you can handle this woman, Tina?” Kit asks stopping me when I feel her hand on my shoulder.

“I’ve dealt with the most ignorant bastards in the movie business, I can handle her, trust me.”

“But you haven’t dealt with crazy.” Kit says.

My hand reaches out and hovers over the door knob before I open it quickly and walk in making eye contact with Kelly in seconds.

“What the fuck are you two doing here?” Kelly says with anger in her voice.

“You don’t have the right to ask that question.” I say.

“This is my office, mine.” She says standing to her feet.

“No it is not, Kelly.” I say stepping a foot closer towards her standing behind her desk.

My view suddenly gets blocked by the same man that had grabbed my wrist earlier steps in front of me.

“You might wanna back up, mister.” Kit says folding her arms and standing tall beside me.

I hold out the envelope. “It’s alright.” I say. “Take this and pass it to your boss.”
He grabs the envelope from my hand and I step back and lean my body against the wall.

“Like I said, you don’t have the right to tell me this is your office.”

I pause and watch her open the envelope.

“When actually, this office is Bette’s. This whole building doesn’t belong to you.” I look at her gripping the files in her hands tighter. “Not anymore.”

“Because I’m sure you know by now that Bette and Peggy has taken over this gallery.” I speak again.

“You know I tried, I tried to be nice to you. I couldn’t believe Bette had settled down with a woman such as you, you were just so boring. Nothing like what Bette liked in a woman. I figured I could easily show Bette how wrong you were for her, so I did what I did. It took you long enough to start believing in Bette again, so I thought my plan had worked out. I thought she was going to get so fed up with you not believing in her that she would just of had a enough of it and stopped trying. Me and Bette were already seeing each other everyday with this gallery in the works so I tried my best not to push too hard. But nothing worked, she was still head over heels for you. I couldn’t believe she was still in love with you. Now that I realize it, you both are the most hideous, dumb headed people. Apparently your past together has been the most ridiculous roller coaster ride any couple could go through, you both amaze me. How two selfish, moronic people could fit so perfect together that its shameful. I feel sorry for you both. I feel like you are going to mess your daughter up, if she isn’t already.”
