Only Ever You – Chapter 9
“Oh thanks, babe” Brenda murmured as she stretched between Bette and Tina to grab one of the two glasses that had been placed on the bar. All the while Tina’s eyes locked with Bette’s in an expression that didn’t exactly appear unapologetic. Brenda pulled back and straightened next to Tina, her arms outstretched in one of the most fake expressions of surprise ever. “Porter! Didn’t see you there”
Bette forced a smile, “Larson. So good of you to come. Wasn’t expecting to see you tonight”
Brenda nearly choked on her drink from being too excited to reply. She’d barely swallowed the sip she had taken, “Are you kidding? I was never going to not come”
She draped an arm across Tina’s shoulders and roughly pulled her in close staking a claim right then and there.
Brenda flashed a possessive, almost predatory smile to counter Tina’s more apologetic one and that’s when Bette realized a certain truth.
Tina hadn’t even tried to un-invite Brenda from the party.
“Porter!” Brenda made an exaggerated show of looking Bette up and down, nodding her approval as she gestured to the brunette’s form. “I’m loving your whole getup especially the poof. I definitely have to give your creativity an eight out of ten”
Bette inwardly cringed at the word “poof”, even more so when Brenda jutted her chin in the direction of her hair. It took everything not to just reach out and choke the obnoxious blonde until she passed out, the urge causing the brunette to clench a hand at her side into a tight fist.
“I wish I could say the same about you” Bette smiled forcefully as she spoke with a tone sharp enough to cut anything. It was Tina’s turn to cringe, “Doesn’t look like you went the creative route at all. What are you supposed to be?”
The blonde wore a pair of black leather pants and a tight, black t-shirt with a deep v in the front. She wasn’t wearing anything that showed she participated in the party’s theme save for an accessory maybe two that barely resembled any animal.
If Bette didn’t know any better, she was sure that Brenda hadn’t even bothered to get into the spirit of the event. It seemed as though she had just threw anything together, more interested in simply showing up to throw her presence in the brunette’s face. Wouldn’t have been the first time.

Hi! Thank you for the new update!
I think we can forgive you for the two updates:)
About party and Tibette fight. I don’t know, i think i can’t say that i on Bette or Tina side about this one.
Yes? Bette was very selfish when she persuaded Tina to come to the party, but i think Tina with Brenda and how she allowed her to hug herself went to far too.
But i believe you can fix their fight, right?
P.S. Emma seems worse and worse with every chapter. But i don’t mind about this:)

Wow so emotional so much love but things holding them back like Emma isn’t worth the fight that building a wall. Bette needs to climb over it and just tell Emma which I cant see how she was with to begin with.. great great chapter.. ok I’m on to the next one..
