Out of Closet (B&T time-travel romance), Ch. 13

“Christiiiiiiinaaaaa!!!!!” Elizabeth screamed on the top of her lungs, running towards her dear friend, who was right where Elizabeth left her standing just two minutes ago. Christina was lying on a grass patch under the sequoia tree with a bright red stain on her left side that was quickly getting bigger and darker.

Alicia was running after Elizabeth when she saw a movement out of the corner of her eye and noticed three bulky figures coming out of the shadows and moving quickly towards them. Alicia hastened her pace and reached for Elizabeth, grabbing her by the waist, turning her around. She held Elizabeth tight and screamed, “It’s too late…you can’t help her. Someone is coming after us as well, we have to hurry.”

The rain was getting harder and heavier, making the darkness even more murky and alarming. Alicia took Elizabeth’s arm and was pulling her away from Christina and the creepy shadows that were silently chasing them. They were getting dangerously close. Alicia was practically dragging Elizabeth towards two tall oak trees that were growing in a small distance from each other, standing out amongst the smaller and thinner sequoia trees.

The time was getting closer to midnight and the church bell in the distance began tolling, announcing the time. Alicia pushed Elizabeth between two oak trees when the bell struck nine and looked around to be sure that their pursuers weren’t close enough to see them and follow them. When she was satisfied that they were alone, she quickly jumped between the trees after Elizabeth.

As soon as the bell chimed twelve, the lonely owl that was sitting on the oak branch was the only witness to a quick bright flash that lasted only a second or two and was barely visible to the human eye…

(Previously) Kit turned another page over and said, “Then the will goes on about the rest of the property and who gets what, which is mainly David. Including the Porter mansion that was left to David Jr. after Melvin and Maxine passed away because he was their only grandchild.”

“Wow,” Tina repeated again, “it’s amazing, I wish my family had a dark secret, mystery murder and a curse.”

    1. Hey B&TF, you know how much I love this story and I’m always waiting patiently for an update. Now with this revelation you’re going to have to hurry up and post soon because this is getting good by the second. Somehow I missed this story when you first posted so I have no idea of what is yet to come. So please, don’t leave us waiting too long! xx

    2. Finally Bette is here and she and Tina are meet. Alice is funny but thanks her for saving Bette. I still thinking that peoples try to kill Bette and Christina is Christina’s husban. Please post soon, thanks!

    3. The blast of light where Elizabeth and Alicia were standing, was that someone being shot or the two of them disappearing into the future? Okay, I have lost my brain and can’t seem to find it.

    4. I feel so silly because I got so weapped up in what was happening that my heart was pounding. I still am so impressed at your skill in weaving all of the threads together.

    5. Once upon a time, a friend and I bought an antebellum house that was barely standing (It had a swimming pool on the property with antique mosaic tile we were interested in… crazy story… let’s just say we where young and had crazy ideas, lol)… Anyway! I wish I had paid more attention to the closets than that pool, LOL! I just love how you’ve brought Elizabeth through the closet to the twenty-first century!!! I’m all about a touch of elegance from the past within a wardrobe *wink*

    6. i woke up this morning to the thought of the ride back when elizabeth was shot and remembered that its sunday and there should be another chapter… so imagine the smile when i saw that indeed there was one and longer that the last one too :) thank you for a great story cant wait for the next chapter…

    7. LMAO at Sunkissed’s comment, ‘I wish I had paid more attention to the closets than that pool”… LOL! Anyway, B&TF, that was just WOW!!! That chapter was amazing! So tense and filled with the triggers of emotion, and angst, and fear, and confusion, and most of all anticipation for more!… I had thought that they would meet through the phone (with a 21st century’s Elizabeth) or through a telepathic experience.. But, no… Bette/Elizabeth is finally here! They are finally together, well at least into the same dimension. I’m guessing that it will take a little more time for them to properly meet, but I’m delighted already that we (you) had them see each other for the first time… Now, I’m really curious about this mystery about Elizabeth’s death, which was in fact Christina’s?… Anyhow, that was a great turn of events, certainly created by a brillant mind! Kuddos to you, and can’t wait for more! Thanks and PPS! K ;)

    8. Wow amazing story, you got me all excited there, I can’t wait until they meet, and begin their journey together. Thanks T&B, you are truly great. Love

    9. Wow B&TF, you are full of surprises. I thought that Bette and Tina would meet as people in present day, but you have Elizabeth time travelling forward. This is great and really intriguing. This is really a good story and I hope you update again soon!
