Out of Closet (B&T time-travel romance), Ch. 33

Chapter 33: Lazy days, lazy talks…is the storm coming? (Bette and Tina can’t get enough of each other but later Alice and Bette hear some disturbing news)

(Previously) Tina rolled back into Bette’s embrace and she instantly felt comfort and serenity, slowly falling asleep with her head on Bette’s shoulder. The last feeling she had was Bette’s fingers tenderly caressing her hair and her soothing voice whispering softly, “I love you, baby. I love you so much.”

They dozed off in each other’s arms, smiling in their dreams, holding each other so close that they could feel the steady beat of their hearts and the rhythmic rise of their breasts. Before falling asleep, Bette remembered the dream that she had when she first opened up to Tina about her feelings.

In that dream she and Tina were sharing one breath in the house full of water, as if they were one being. Their breathing had the same rhythm and pace and they were so in tune with each other, as if they belonged together.

“I feel like I have finally found my home,” Bette whispered, closing her eyes, succumbing to Tina’s peaceful slumber and loosing herself in Tina’s warmth, scent and the amazing feeling of love and belonging.

Place: Los Angeles, CA – Tina’s house

Year: Nov. 27, 2005 – Saturday

They slept almost all day Saturday, waking up occasionally and making love again. At one point they were awakened by a loud growl coming from Tina’s stomach and they both laughed at the realization that they had spent all day in bed and hadn’t eaten a thing.

Tina ran naked to the kitchen and made them a fruit salad and a couple of sandwiches. She brought it back to the bedroom and they ate, taking turns feeding each other.

“Can I make an observation?” Bette asked, licking Tina’s fingers after she was fed another piece of juicy watermelon.

“Sure, baby, observe away,” Tina replied, leaning in for a kiss and savoring the fruit juice on Bette’s chin.

“I realize, of course that we cannot live on love alone but I would die the happiest person if your love is all I could have.”
