“Thanks for watching out for us, Alice, but I think Bette and I are solid, aren’t we, baby?” Tina asked, looking at Bette with love and devotion.
Bette took Tina’s hand to her lips, kissing it gently before answering, “So solid that we can face an army of Helenas and Candaces but nothing would keep us away from each other. My eyes are only for you, baby.”
“Love looks not with the eyes but with the mind,” Alice quoted, delighted in the love that her two friends found but unable to keep herself from teasing.
“Wow, Alice, who’s a smart ass now?” Tina laughed and Bette looked at Alice and replied, “So wise so young, they say do never live long.”
“Nice, Porter, really nice…I keep forgetting that Shakespeare to you was like Mother Goose nursery rhymes to us,” Alice teased and then asked, “So, are you coming to SheBar then?”
“We can’t this weekend,” Tina replied instead, “Tomorrow I have to go to the Porter mansion for my documentary pre-production and I have to stay there at least two weeks before shooting starts on December 19.”
“You do?” Bette asked, frowning at the news.
“Yes, but you’re coming with me. I need a historical consultant and I found the best one, Elizabeth Porter, an eyewitness to her own life.”
“Are you sure, Tee? I don’t know if I can…” Bette said uncertainly.
“Bette, this was your life and you’ll be the best consultant ever…and we get to spend all our time together. I don’t think I can handle the separation right now.”
“Okay,” Bette answered with a smile. She kissed Tina, causing Alice to roll her eyes again and exclaimed with feigned desperation, “Not again…will you fly away already, you two love birds…don’t make me regret bringing you into the 21st century, Porter, if you two continue your PDA every time you are in public.”
Tina dismissed Alice’s teasing with a wave of her hand and deepened the kiss.
“Oh but, Tina, we have ‘the Impressions in Winter’ exhibit opening this Wednesday and I need to be there,” Bette pulled away, remembering about her job commitment.
“Okay, I’ll talk to Aaron tomorrow and tell him that I need a few more days because I hired you as a consultant. I can tell him that you can only start working on Thursday, I’ll go to the opening with you and then we both can leave the next day. I’m sure Franklin will let you take a short vacation after you spent every day during this month preparing the gallery for the exhibit.”
“Well, looks like we’re all set then,” Alice said, rubbing her hands in excitement.
“We?” Tina asked, looking at Alice skeptically.
“I’m coming with you guys…at least for a few days…please…”
“And what would you be doing there, Alice?” Tina smiled skeptically.
“I’ll find something to write about. My editor has been pretty lenient with me after I submitted a few very successful stories. Maybe I could write about your documentary and it will buy me some time to investigate the current situation with the ATF and do some damage control. No way can the government find out about Bette and the time portal…no way.”

Aaahaaa….another little twist being introduced here. So, the ATF is investigating and now we have to figure out who is the neighbour who keeps reporting something and what are the Krolls doing??? Fantastic update B&TF…evertime the story looks like it’s smooth sailing you introduce something else to keep us guessing…excellent!

Love how Bette and Tina have found their way to each other. The ATF is a little scary.
Cute Tibette here, this is very sweet. Looks like big drama is coming along, but I’ll say it again, B&T can survive anything as long as they are together. Curious about this gov’s investigation though… Nice addition to the story, you genious brain! Thanks and PPS! K ;)
