Out of Closet (B&T time-travel romance), Ch. 55

(Previously) Helena sighed as she realized that Tina wasn’t even looking at her legs and walked towards her, keeping the smile.

“Since you won’t ask, I will tell you,” the brunette said with elation. “Tina, you are looking at your new boss.”

“What? What do you mean?” Tina was momentarily lost for words. Her initial thought was that Helena stopped by to try and seduce her again. Helena being her new boss had never even entered her mind.

“Well, I bought 51% shares from a few shareholders who didn’t think your studio was making them any richer. They were only too happy to get rid of their shares and now I’m a major shareholder of Alphaville Studios, ergo, your boss, Ms. Kennard.”

Helena smiled satisfactory as she saw Tina wincing in discomfort. “I’m holding a formal meeting tomorrow and then I will meet with the heads of each department. I expect you to be my eyes and ears, Tina…if you want to keep your job.”

Out of Closet (B&T time-travel romance), Ch. 55

Chapter 55: Lies are easier than truth but they hurt worse (Bette finally learns the truth about Christina)

    Place: Los Angeles, CA

    Year: March 20, 2006 – Monday

    Alphaville Studios

The rest of Tina’s day felt like a never-ending nightmare. Helena requested…no, more like ordered…an impromptu tour of the studio and she was criticizing every little thing she could find. After the tour that lasted eternity, Tina was ready to quit her job.

Helena left right after the tour but not before giving Tina her business card with her personal cell phone number written on the back. She caressed Tina’s palm as she placed her card in it and smiled seductively, “I don’t give my cell number to just anyone, Tina. I do hope you will call…anytime. You won’t regret it.”

Tina threw the card in the waste basket as soon as Helena left and grimaced in disgust. “Is she seriously thinking I’m going to cheat on Bette?”

She finally had a chance to speak to her boss, Aaron, and he assured her that Helena’s power wasn’t as unlimited as she claimed. It was true that the Peabody Foundation now owned 51% of the movie studio but Helena’s mother, Peggy Peabody, was still in charge of the Foundation.

    1. Now that was rough…i figure it would come out sooner or later. Tina was selfish but i understand..she didn’t want to loose the love of her life.. So Bette has to decide if she can forgive her. Bette should try walking in Tina shoes…if the decision was TIna and Bette knew that their was a choice “would she give Tina all the details”???

    2. I feel sorry not only for Bette but also for tina.. I knew that what Tina did is wrong but still i cant blame her. I just hope that despite the hurt and pain their love for each other will still prevail.. Btw just want to let u know that seeing a new post from you never failed to put a smile on my face so thanks! :-)

    4. That was incredibly selfish of Tina to take that decision from Bette, and her rambled excuse just seemed like back peddling. It was worse that Tina thought that life was so grand with that big elephant skeleton in the closet. Bette deserves the time away maybe Candace will help her unwind. Not very bright Tina, hey, you and Helena do make a better match. Thanks for the update.
