    Out of Control chapter 18

Several hours later when Tina came home the house was dark. The porch light wasn’t even on to greet her. When she entered, it was eerily quiet. She called out, “Bette, are you home?” There was no answer and she wondered where Bette could have gone without a car, “I hope you’re not are still at work, Bette.”  The quiet house was kind of unnerving. Slowly she started turning on light until she got to the bed. “Bette,” she called while walking down the hall past the bathroom. Still nothing.

When she stepped into the doorway and saw the silhouette she knew was Bette she immediately panicked. “BETTE!” she yelled.

A startled Bette woke from a deep sleep to a crying Tina. Blearily she said, “T, what’s going on? What happened?”

“Youyou didn’t answer when a called for you. This was how I found you…,” Tina paused tears streaming, “I got scared.”

“Oh, baby. I’m sorry. I came home from the CAC feeling kind of blah so I took a nap. Actually I slept long then I had intended. I wanted to have dinner ready for you.” She took Tina into her arms, “I am so sorry I scared you.”

Tina pulled back to looked into Bette’s eye. She noticed a slight flush rising in her face. She was brushing strands of hair from Bette’s face feeling her warmth, “Babe you look flushed and I think you’re a little warm. Are you feeling okay?”

“I feel fine. As a matter of fact I want to get up and help you with dinner.”

“No, I don’t think so. You are going to take a couple of Tylenol and lay here while I get dinner ready and no arguing.”

    “But”

    “Hey I said no arguing.”

“Okay baby. Here I will stay.”

Tina left Bette making her way from the bedroom. Before pulling out ingredients she had to call Alice. They weren’t going to be making to Milk tonight. After the phone call with Alice she began the process of making salads and pesto all the while thinking. She worried that Bette wouldn’t be able to handle her work load at the CAC. Bette was back to work one day and it was already making her sick. There was no way Bette would be able to keep up with it all without detriment to her health. Tina had to voice this no matter the protest. She’d bring in the doctors if she had to.

    1. Good chapter. Glad Bette ok and that moron Franklin is ass and glad Bette don’t have to see that moron ass anymore. Love the way Bette and Tina have and happy for them. Ok post soon please, thanks!

    2. Firing her after she’s been out sick…I think Bette may have grounds for a discrimination suit. The settlement would go nicely with that buyout to endow the baby’s college fund. Thanks!

    3. CAC dosent give a shit to Bette even after all her good work for them..she deserve better and she need to take care of her and her family cant wait for more..love it..thanks

    4. from what i hear about s3 tina is not to thrilled about bette getting fired, maybe thats just a rumor or the spoilers are in affect.but on the fanfiction site tina handled it well, youshould go write for the show since thewriters are always leaving out important information.maybe its a blessing bette got fired, the cac droveher crazy, and thats one of the reasons her and tina split up. hey bette didlook so delicious in her power suits when she went to work yum yum.
