“Alice…”
“TK”
Alice leaned over and gently hugged her friend. After a moment Alice released the hug and they looked at each other through tear filled eyes.
“Alice I’m so sorry to put you to this trouble…I just…I didn’t know who else to call…Thank you for coming.”
“Are you out of your mind? Why the fuck didn’t you call sooner?”
“Alice I’ve just fucked up… so fucking much. I don’t want you to see me like this. I’m a fucking mess.”
“And who the fuck’s fault is this? I know you’re tough but something tells me you didn’t do this to yourself so why the fuck do you keep apologizing for it…Shit Tina who did this to you?”
“Just the asshole I’ve been shacked up with for the past few months. Shit Alice how the fuck did I get here?”
“I don’t know TK, but you are definitely going to be telling me in the near future…Got it?”
Tina gave her friend a faint smile and said:
“Got it, but first do you think you could help me to the bathroom?”
As Alice assisted Tina she got a look at the damage that had been done to her sweet friend. The entire left side of her head and face were swollen and black and blue, and her eye was patched. Her right wrist was in a cast, there were bandages on her right leg and bruises everywhere.
“Oh my god Tina.”
“Al, it’s alright. I’m going to be alright. The real danger was my leg. I guess I put up too much of a fight so he grabbed his knife and got my leg. The good news it bleed so much it scared the shit out of him so he called an ambulance.”
“Fuck Tina, did they arrest him?”
“Yeah, but they released him. Apparently I did enough damage that they bought that we both were attacked so they bought his story. Al, they won’t believe me.”
“Why? Who the fuck wouldn’t believe you?”
“Al… he’s a cop and…Al I was so drunk. The doctor couldn’t believe my blood alcohol level… Shit Al, I have to pee.”
Alice stood stunned but pulled herself together enough to help her friend to the bathroom.
The next several hours were spent talking to doctors, nurses, physical therapists and a social worker until they were finally okayed to leave. They got carefully into Alice’s rental car and just looked at each other.
“So TK, where to?”
“Frankly Alice, I have no fucking idea.”
The women looked at each other and burst out laughing.

Hey D&A, Wow wee, this story is really heating up as the truth comes out. Tina has been knocked to kingdom come and back while inebriated. And the guy reasonsible is a police officer. The shit keeps coming.Good to have Alice there to help her out.I can’t wait to find out how Bette will fit into this mix.Will she be the carer to help Tina deal with this trauma ro just someone she meets.Whatever happens I hope the dirtybag gets his comeuppance in the most physical of manners.And that Tina finds her soul mate, Bette, soon.Great storytelling.Many thanks from Your Loyal Fan.
AS much as I deride Alice for her big mouth, she always comes thru for her friends in a pinch. Its good that she could be available for Tina and to help her out. Hopefully Alice will take her home with her. And Tina is right no one would believe her regarding this man and she should just leave it alone and get to a therapist if needed. This man is a coward and theres no telling what he would do to her if he thought his career was in jeapordy. Very interesting story. Thanks for posting.

Alice just get Tina out of Dodge city. no way any woman can ever win against a cop. no point trying. just take her home and help her heal. tina must have gone on some some huge downward self-destructive spiral BUT who hasn’t been there when they lose the love of their life?
