    Planet Terror: Sufragette City

    “Nope.” Bette said cheerfully.

Meanwhile, Alice and the others were holding off a zombie army of their own.

“Dammit, they’re getting through.” Dylan said in an annoyed tone, as the banging and clawing increased against their windows and walls. Alice had barely extracted herself from their fingers and stood to the side with Bette and Helena’s daughter.

“We’ll have to shoot them as they come through.” Catherine said, taking the baby out of Alice’s arms. Alice, Lara, and Dylan readied themselves as the last of the boards broke apart. They emptied their guns on a hoard of creatures who lurched through broken boards.

Unfortunately, they literally emptied their guns—and their ammo supply.

“We must have killed like…a million of those things…” Alice peered over the pile of corpses in their way, as more began to crawl over their fallen comrades, coming quickly toward the women.

Just when things could not get worse, their door began to rattle on its hinges. The women turned, pale faced, toward their last exit.

    Mercifully, Bette’s voice sounded out.

“Guys, you have to let us in!” She shouted. “

“We’re surrounded!” Alice exclaimed, letting Bette and Helena in.

“Nevermind, lets’s go back out this way.” Bette said quickly, taking her daughter from Catherine. Helena took care of the remaining zombies in the room, before they closed the door and began making their way through the narrow hallway between the real cabin door and the false wall they had erected.

Luckily, the zombies were confused. They chewed, clawed and hit the wall, but did not make much of an effort to topple it. Before long, the women found themselves outside in the chill air of early dawn.

Around them, hundreds of zombies began to close in.

Helena emptied her gun on at least fifty of the walking dead. Bette and the others used knives and machetes to hack their way through, running between the slow moving creatures with Helena shooting behind them. Helena’s ammo, strung round her chest, was quickly running out. With their backs to the ocean, and only a hundred yards separating them from the living dead, they began to contemplate a very long and very difficult swim.

Then, just as the sun began its ascent, a helicopter made its appearance on the horizon. The massive luxury chopper gleamed white and gold in the new dawn.

    1. Peggy Peabody rules! Trust Peggy not to allow the zombie apocalypse to interfere with her luxurious lifestyle. Love the mother-daughter squabbling, although it’s hardly a fair fight: who could ever best PP in an argument? I’m still pondering the snakes on a plane reference; on the plus side, it would certainly have more popular appeal than Mrs. Dalloway.

    2. No, No, and thrice No! No zombie-things feasting on anyone in the helicopter, unless it’s Peggy’s pet poodles Muffy, Buffy and Jaunty. Just no. Please no? And yes, I’m with rufus, Peggy Peabody does indeed rule. The Snakes on a Plane reference escapes me… Peggy didn’t say that she has had it with these mf’ing zombies on her mf’ing copter, did she? No? Okay then, that’s it confirmed; the reference escapes me. More soon, please. thanks!

    3. And I still want to know what those zombie things woke up… and will they wake up more of them when they all get to Hawaii? Will they even make it to Hawaii? Right, I’ll not fret, I’ll just wiat for the next post…

    4. Yes! Gore and mayhem! Bette should know there never is time to consider facts in the face of a nightmare. And dear Peggy, may not have been too domestict, but what good is being domestic in the middle of an apocalypse? June Cleaver was great for cookies and comfort, but could she organize an slaughter/evacuation? Not happy (well, actually, yes I am) that an zombie is clinging to the outside of Peggy’s helicopter like the Alien on the outside of Ripley’s escape pod. Hey! Can Siguerney Weaver make an appearance? She was hot! Anyway, I hope I wasn’t too harsh about Dead Girl. It’s just that I’m reminded of the Talking Heads when they told us that Heaven was a place where nothing ever happens. I suspect if you continue with it, I’ll most likely read, just to see what you’ve done.
