“Carmen?” Bette asked slightly confused. Tina took in the scene alongside her.
Tayo had managed to pull Alice up out of the rubble of bodies affected by the shoving match. They, too, began heading for the door, when Alice stopped to turn around in the hopes of spotting their other friend.
“Bette!” she screamed when she saw her standing next to Tina on the far side of the floor. “Dyke drama! Time to cut!” just as Alice said that, a flying fist connected with the side of her cheek.
“There’s your fuckin’ dyke drama bitch!” Lacey said as Alice again went flying to the floor.
“Oh shit!” Bette said as she saw the entire scene play out. She looked at Tina with regret, “I’m so sorry, those are my friends. I gotta go.” And with that she took off to collect Alice from the ground as Tayo again ran back, grabbed Lacey and threw her back into the crowd.
“O-Okay.” Tina said, still reeling from what was happening around them. It was then that the coppery taste of blood filled her mouth from where her teeth had rammed into her lip.
“Oh my God! Tina, are you alright?” Dana grabbed the music exec and pulled her back towards the VIP section.

Outside Hit
Bette bent over and picked Alice up from the floor, slinging her over her shoulder as Tayo had grabbed the group’s belongings from their VIP room. She then linked her arm in Bette’s as they headed outside where Shane and Carmen were waiting.
Security had raided the dance floor after the final blow to Alice’s face and the DJ had momentarily cut the music as the bright overhead lights came on.
When the three friends made it outside, they spotted Shane and Carmen sitting on a bench in front of the club. They both jumped up when they saw Bette carrying a limp Alice over her shoulder.
Bette rushed over to the bench and laid Alice upon it as the other three looked on.
“The bouncer called a cab for us.” Shane said.
“Is she okay? What happened?” Carmen asked concerned that Alice was unconscious.
“She got laid out by that Lacey chick.” Bette answered as she started lightly slapping Alice’s un-bruised cheek. “Al? Come on Al, wake up. ALICE!”
