LAST CHAPTER RECAP:
“Soooo then…you’ll meet me tonight?” Bette smiled gently.
“No…”
“No? Why not?”
“What, do you think a lousy kiss will erase what happened this morning?”
“You didn’t seem to think it was lousy a minute ago!”
Retrieving the keys from her pocket, Helena walked round to get into her car, “Don’t play me for a fool Bette Porter, you’ll find that I don’t like games…”
As Helena drove off, Bette looked at her watch again, “Dammit, I’m gonna fucking get fired today!”

CHAPTER 11
“I suppose that it’s a step in the right direction…and…you’re actually meeting with him this evening?”
Tina nodded and hugged her clipboard to her chest.
“Right then! Thank you for the update……keep me posted…” Helena nodded curtly and got up from the meeting area in her office to sit behind her desk, immediately starting to organise her loose paperwork.
“Helena…”
Helena looked up; “I’m sorry, was there something else Tina?” her genuine smile was false.
“Yea…yea there is…”
“Oh?”
“I’m away next week…it’s Angelica’s birthday and I just thought you should know…seeing that it’s when I should have been closing off Essential…” Tina explained.
“That’s fine. Nicole’s already explained the situation and she’s got Pete on it.” Helena answered, looking down to open a draw, which she put the neat pile in.
“Helena…how long are we going to carry on like this?” Tina asked quietly, walking up to the desk.
“Like what?”
“Like this!”
“I don’t understand…”
“Look, I’m sorry about last night ok!” Tina defended vehemently.
“Tina, you slapped me and then kissed her after you saw us together last night……and you want me to just accept that you’re sorry!” Helena exclaimed, standing up and walking round to look out the window.
“How can you be so cold?!” Tina accused.
“So cold?” Helena replied, turning round to face Tina.
“Yea…Cold! You’ve been walking around as if nothing’s happened!”
“It’s not about being cold Tina, it’s about being realistic!”
Leaning back on the window sill, she searched Tina’s eyes and her voice softened, “…You needn’t concern yourself…Bette and I had some fun…there’s nothing between us……however, I suggest you do some soul searching of your own…”

Helen needs to lighten up…Bette can’t help the way Tina feels. She needs to let Bette explain and stop being in denial…she knows she wants her no matter how many times she tries to convince herself that she’ll be fine without Bette. What did Blues Travelers say…the hook brings you back…thanks for posting…

Great chapter. I didn’t mind going back to read the other chapters. It had been so long since you posted I needed to put the story in the proper context. I do like the flow of your story. You thought this one was long. I thought it was too short. Please continue on more and soon. I think this is going to be a tough road for our trio. Looking forward to seeing where you go with it.

Nesha! Why didn’t you yell at me for not commenting. I know I commented on one of those damn threads but I just can’t keep track anymore!! sorry! nesha..that was good…i understand where helena is coming from…she doesn’t want to put herself out there if there is a chance that bette isn’t ready…bette has to – pardon the express – “man up”…check tina, and get to gettin’ with ms. peabody – cause she is fineeeeeee. really liked the update…but you gotta stop leaving us hangin’ like this…what’s up with that? Shit girl, this was really good, you’re a natural. There’s no way Helena can resist Bette, no way at all. My heart was racing at the end and it’s still pounding now. I really hope the next chapter will come very soon.
I thought I’d just go back a chapter or 2 and refresh my mind. Instead, I started @ 1 & didn’t stop until I arrived here. I understand H’s position; she spends an incredible night w/ Bette only 2 find B / T lip locking the next morning. Right about now, H has every right 2 feel as she does. As Sky pointed out, Bette can’t B responsible for how T feels; hell, T doesn’t even know what she feels. As much as I want H / B 2 make love all the time, I don’t want them 2 make the same mistakes that B / T did. Instead of talking about what’s bothering them, B / T would always have sex, and act like their problems were solved. Not that I want H / B 2 talk this 2 death, but I don’t think they’ve talked about it enuf b4 B started seducing H again. Nesha, QQ’g 4wrd 2 the next chapter. Hope it’s sQQn!!

Although, if I may clarify, its not that I didn’t get how Helena is able to do that, I was merely commenting on how that blew me away, kind of :) Anyway, this was really really good…I think I, for one, like it better when you edit less and let it flow more.

Nesha-Bette a lousy kisser–forget about it! I can’t believe ou ended the chapter right there-you big tease. Helena is goin to have to accept that Bette can’t control the way Tina feels about her and be a litte more secure when it comes to Bette saying she is done w/ Tina. Please post soon.
