"You want me to tell her now?" Christian hissed into his phone as Tina paced anxiously across the waiting room. Tim was gracious enough to take Angie and Andy and now Tina and Christian were awaiting anxiously for Bette who had been in surgery for hours.
"You have to tell her the truth," Mary said, "I can’t help but feel guilty about this."
"But she’s worried about Bette at the moment," Christian protested.
"But she needs to know what happened," Mary said, "all she knows is that Bette was shot at a robbery. Now I’ve explained to you what happened tonight. Now tell her!"
"Yes mother," Christian said softly. He hung up the phone and looked up at Tina who looked a mess. Her eyes were red and puffy from all the crying, her hair was a mess from all the pulling it had endured during her frustration and worry. Christian sighed and said, "Aunt Tina?"
Tina froze in her tracks and looked at him.
He patted the seat next to him and said, "I have to tell you something."
Tina wiped the fresh tears in her eyes and moved to sit down next to Christian, "what is it?"
Christian cleared his throat and muttered, "this is hard."
Tina stiffened but silently urged him to continue.
"Well, when I was born my mother named me after his siblings," Christian said deciding that starting from the beginning was best, "Christian after Christina and Louis after Louis."
Tina looked shocked as she said, "I didn’t realize that."
"Well it’s true," he said with a nod, "somehow my mom knew she was gonna be a bad mother, like if she knew she couldn’t control it. So she made a life insurance policy and a living will that said if she should be deemed unfit to be my mother or if she should die I would go under guardianship of her next of kin, Christina Kennard."
Tina gasped.
"About a year later, she turned into the bad mother she expected to be," Christian said, "she was an alcoholic and a drug addict. She started hitting me and locking me in the basement for days at a time."
"Oh God," Tina breathed.
"About 13 years later," Christian continued, "I was 14 years old and I got really sick. I had an asthma attack because she had locked me up without my inhaler and when I was in the hospital they discovered that I had developed an incurable form of skin cancer that will have me on treatment for the rest of my life unless they find a cure."

I officially love you… in a none freaky way… this is a great story. PPS
Amazing update. thank you.
Great update..as usual!
what a lesson that will be, Tina is stubborn plus if she doesn’t want to do something and/or if she’s being pressured. Good luck with that Bette. Now get Tina in to see Bette so she can stop crying and know that Bette will be alright. Bette needs to tell Tina that she saw and talked to Dana and that she is always with them. Great update. thanks.
But Tina *is* giving and has given second chances. She and Bette are together now; she’s still taking Christian in even after the deceit that the boy knowingly participated in. He’s old enough to know right and wrong, if he didn’t know the difference, then he wouldn’t have thought his mother needed forgiveness for her treatment of him or Tina. Tina can easily forgive from afar… doesn’t mean she has to ever look at Mary’s face again. Cheers
I have an idea of where you are going with this. Will be interesting to see the outcome.
Did Tina something wrong? Why she should forgive her sister?Thank you for the update.PPS
