Ready When You Are Ch.13
"Tina?" Shane said, as a familiar blonde walked straight past her on the street.
"Tina." Shane said a little louder, as she jogged up behind the blonde, who appeared to be in a world of her own.
"Hey." Shane smiled as she gently grabbed Tina’s arm, breaking the blonde from her daze.
"Oh, Hey Shane." Tina gave her friend a small smile as she turned to face her.
A sudden look of confusion adorned the young woman’s face as she noticed the blonde’s glistening eyes, and the fact that she was alone.
"Where’s Bette? I thought you guys were having dinner?" Shane asked, gently holding onto Tina’s arm.
Tina looked up into her friend’s eyes.
"Bette went to meet up with the others. I just needed to take a walk…get some fresh air." Tina replied, her despondency evident in her tone.
Shane sensed that Tina wanted to be alone, but she knew that something must’ve happened. Maybe the couple had gotten into a fight?
Tina averted Shane’s gaze and looked blankly across the street.
"Hey." Shane said quietly, gently placing her hand on the blonde’s shoulder.
Tina looked back at Shane.
"Come have a drink with me." The young woman smiled, gesturing towards the entrance of the bar they were standing next to.
Tina gave Shane a soft smile.
After wandering around the streets for an hour, Tina felt like she needed to talk to someone, and Shane had always been a good listener.
"One drink." The blonde replied, as Shane smiled and led Tina through the entrance to the bar.
Alice raised her eyebrows at her friend as she took another swig of her beer.
"So you just let her go? To walk the streets of Acapulco alone late at night?" Alice asked, staring at Bette as the brunette placed her beer down on the table.
Bette sighed and looked up at her friend.
"She wouldn’t take no for an answer Al, what was I supposed to do?" The brunette replied, looking dejected.
"Umm, go after her anyway? Look Bette, she obviously needs you right now so leaving her all alone is like…the worst thing you could do." Alice took another swig of her beer as Dana shook her head at the blonde. "I’m just sayin’."

awsome. Cant wait till next time
Poor Tina so conflicted. I wish she would just let Bette give her the support she needs. Parents can be so manipulative sometimes, even when ill. Can’t wait for more.
WOW. My heart is beating sooooo fast. Great update. PPVVVS
Wish Bette could go with Tina, hope Tina doesn’t go listening to all the homophobic crap that I’m sure is to spew from her parents. Go visit and then go running home to Bette’s arms!! PPS:0
Feel bad for Tina but hope Bette will come after Tina and support her. Please post more, thanks!
Glad that Tina allowed Bette to comfort her in the end. At least there is still hope for them.
Great update. Can’t wait to see what happens. :)
BEAUTIFUL!!! Loving your story so much!!!! PPS!!
it seems to me they should make love b4 T departs…pps
I’m with Commander Rau on this one, they should make love before Tina leaves. And I know this next statement makes me a bitch, but I’m not completely convinced that Tina’s father is really all that sick, if at all. I think it is a ploy to get her bak home and try to make her stay.Parents have done shitty things like this to their children before. Once had a case where the daughter told the parents that she was gay and they brought her home under false pretense that one of them was ill and brought her to my office and had her committed for psychiatric evaluation. It happens everyday with homophobic parents. And I think Tina’s father is not beyond doing something like this and the mother going along with the scheme. Hope I’m wrong. Great chapter. PPS
Hmmm…this whole thing just doesn’t feel right. While it makes sense that Bette needs to respect Tina’s wishes, I think Tina is really going to need her support. I am suspicious about her family’s motives for calling her back from her vacation.
Aw what a great update… I’m glad they were able to talk and be there for one another! PPS
fab update. thank you.
YEAH, I’M OF THE SAME MIND AS DAINTY…had a personal experience that’s my reason so don’t trust the parents they can do crazy things.
