Real Tibette – Thanksgiving 2023
***
‘Mmmm, that was nice,’ said Tina a few minutes later, when she’d pulled her tank top back on and was snuggled against her wife again.
Bette closed her eyes. She’d got irritated in the past when Tina described sex with her as ‘nice’, but right now she was way too tired.
‘I talked to Angie, by the way.’
‘Oh really?’ Now Bette was awake. ‘Did she talk about Nik?’
‘Mhmm.’ Tina burrowed closer, kissing Bette’s neck. ‘It was mutual. Complicated, but mutual.’ A beat. ‘They’re both pansexual, by the way, at the moment.’
Bette stared at the ceiling. She respected the new nomenclature for orientation and expression of sexuality and identity up to point, but where that point was tended to change. Right now, it was simple.
‘Is she happy?’ she asked.
Tina thought for a moment, stroking the thin cotton covering Bette’s taut, flat stomach. ‘I think so,’ she said. ‘And unless I’m mistaken, if she’s pan then there’s a chance she might date women too, so . . .’
Bette turned her head. Her dark eyes huge. ‘I really want a gay kid, Tina.’
‘I know you do, baby.’
‘I don’t ask much. Just one out of three. I mean, that is why we have three – you know that, right?’
Tina smiled at Bette’s seriousness, which was actually nothing of the kind, and they laughed, and kissed, and nuzzled each other.
‘This is one for the memory books, isn’t it?’ Bette said, moving to a sleeping position.
‘Mhmm.’ Tina settled down as the little spoon. Then she laughed. ‘How much does Ben like saying “coons”?’
Bette laughed. Tina adored feeling it vibrate against her back.
‘He asked me if I thought Nik had cheated,’ Bette said.
‘Really?’
‘Mhmm.’
Tina half-turned towards her wife. ‘I wonder where he got that from?’
‘Oh, Sasha, probably.’
‘Right.’ A beat. ‘I didn’t think he’d pay any attention to her.’
They were quiet a moment, and then Bette said, ‘He also said something that . . . well, I’m not sure – it might be silly – but he gave me an idea for a book.’
Now Tina turned all the way, so they could look at each other. And Bette related to her what Ben had said – about how Bette used to tell him that his crayons already had a drawing in them – could that be a children’s book?

Hi Dumplin!
Yes, I’m enjoying the family growing up – working out what the kids are into and how having Alice in NY affects things. There’s a lot of moving parts. Thanks for taking the time to read it and comment. Means a lot.
Take care

Largo,
I correct the previous comment . . . DISagree that U have been “arrogant” by calling this masterpiece as “REAL”. Pfff! It certainly I S that!!!
Authors on this site have enraptured us with exquisite insight in filling gaps that were not revealed in TLW nor GenQ.
BaddAss Writers U r!!!!

This was so needed, missed & delicious to deavour.
Excellent writing as per your usual postings.
Tibette has so perfectly fit themselves into each other & draw such strength from one another.
And Angie, trying her hardest to find the right fit & balance in her life & love. Hopefully we’ll get to read in the not to distant future who she meets & really falls in love with.
Overall, a gem & this will join all your other endeavours as my all, time favorites.
Thanks for making our holidays a bit more grateful & joyful.
All my best.

Take care my friend.

Thank you for your lovely comments. It means so much to me that you enjoy this Tibette world. I like writing them as a solid team in, as you say, a big messy family, just filled with love and support. Everything we never, ever, saw on the show.
Thanks, friends

the Writers on this ABSOLUTELY prove that lesbian couples can have stable ‘ships and “double-you-over laughter in all the caotic happening that “framily members” bring
