Dana was in her office finishing off some paper work. It had been a week since Alice had woken up and Dana hadn’t been able to see as much of her as she would have liked to. She couldn’t stop thinking about her especially since they had shared such an intimate connection, it amazed Dana that Alice had made her come so hard by hardly touching her, hopefully this was an indication of things to come.

There was a polite knock on her door and Dana was snapped out of her day dream.

“Come in.”

Carole opened the door and smiled at Dana.

“Hi there sweets. You okay?”

“Yeah, I’m fine. What brings you here?”

“I haven’t seen you on the ward lately. I was just wondering if everything was okay between you and Alice.”

At the mention of the blonde’s name Dana burst into an adorable grin.

“Everything’s fine. I’ve just been really busy. I’ve only been able to see her when I’ve been working on her strength and stamina.”

“That’s more than I need to know darling. Anyway I thought that you’d like to hear something concerning your beautiful girl.”

“What’s that?”

“All in good time. Can you be at her room in an hour?”

“Sure. It’s not bad news is it?”

“Not at all, I’ve got to get back now. I’ll see you later.”

“Yeah, I’ll be there. Thanks Carole.”

With that Dana was left alone. She tried to concentrate on her paper work but after twenty minutes she gave up.

She made her way to Alice’s room needing to see the blonde that held her heart in her hand, but when she got to the room she was confronted with an empty bed. Dana looked around the ward but could find no sign of Alice anywhere; she walked up to the nurse’s station and got the attention of a young woman who was typing furiously at a computer.

“Excuse me. Could you tell me where Alice Pieszecki is please?”

“Outside.”

“I don’t understand.”

The nurse sighed then looked up, on seeing Dana she put on a smile.

“She’s outside.”

“She’s just got over a serious infection and can hardly walk any amount of distance. Please tell me that she’s not alone.”
