“Oh no, Lara’s with her.”

“What?”

“Yep our wards wannabe Casanova decided that Alice needed some fresh air. If you ask me she probably took her to the gardens.”

“Why do you say that?”

“To make a move on her.”

Dana started to walk down the corridor, making her way to the exit, she called over her shoulder.

“She’s spoken for.”

The nurse stared after Dana a little wistfully.

“Shame. Still makes no difference to Lara.”

Dana walked out of the hospital and made her way to the gardens. Sure enough, there was Alice sat in a wheelchair with Lara next to her on a bench. They were talking about something that Dana couldn’t hear but as she got closer Alice saw her and grinned.

“Dana.”

Lara looked up and frowned. Dana couldn’t help but smile, not only from Alice’s reaction when she saw her, but also from Lara’s obvious disappointment.

“Hey you.”

Dana was only the distance of the bench away from Alice, yet Alice held up her hand for her to stop.

“Wait there.”

“Why?”

“I’m coming to you.”

Dana and Lara watched Alice slowly lift herself from the wheelchair and make her way towards Dana. When she got close enough Dana reached out and pulled Alice into her, holding her up for support. Alice lifted her face close to Dana’s and gave her a soft but loving kiss on the lips.

“Hey baby. Where you been?”

“Sorry. I’ve had so much work on.”

“Doesn’t matter, you’re here now.”

Alice kissed Dana again, this time with more longing, when she pulled away she rested her forehead against Dana’s. Lara watched the exchange and realised that there was no way she would be able to have Alice, not whilst Dana was around. She cleared her throat and the other two women looked at her.

“I’d best be getting back to the ward. Dana, could you make sure Alice gets back safely?”

“Not a problem.”

With that Lara left the other two alone. Dana smiled down at Alice and ran her hand through the wild, blonde hair.

“Come on you. Let’s get you back in that chair.”

Alice put up no resistance as she let Dana help her into the chair. When Dana was about to sit on the bench Alice held onto her top and pulled her close for a hug, nuzzling into her neck.
