    “Don’t you get it Al? She was just fucking me to fuck with Bette. She knew who I was and she set me up. There was never any love there. When I decided I wanted to have Bette back in my life as Angie’s other mother Helena tossed me aside and started seeing other women. I tried not to care, but I was hurt that she could be so callous. After Angie was born I was so grateful that she gave me that job at the studio, but it wasn’t because she cared about our livelihood. She did it to rub it in Bette’s face that she couldn’t provide for her family, when she was the one that instigated Bette losing her job at the CAC. She became friends with you to put more salt in the wound. I’m not innocent Al. It took me a long time and a lot of soul searching to accept my complicity in everything that happened between us.

    I used her as much as she used me to get back at Bette out of anger and vengefulness. I admit I was dangerously attracted to her. She made me feel sexual again. She helped me to get my autonomy back but she also took me to some of the darkest places I’ve ever been in my life. I don’t want to ever revisit the person I became when I was with Helena Peabody. I allowed her to spread her venom and to influence my behavior in ways that I’m very ashamed of. Had I not pulled away I would have destroyed everything that I cherish in my life Al including my self-respect. I’m not telling you what to do Al. Your situation and relationship with Helena is vastly different from mine. We don’t even live in close proximity any longer so whether or not you chose to rekindle your friendship with Helena really won’t affect us. But I won’t allow you to guilt me into risking everything that Bette and I have rebuilt in our relationship to be a friend to Helena when she doesn’t give a shit about anyone but herself. I care about what happens to her and I want her to get well. If there is anything I can do to help I will; but I won’t let her back into our lives to destroy what Bette and I have together. If Bette doesn’t feel comfortable with her around us I need to respect that. Bette’s even said as much to Peggy and you know how close they are.”

Thought for sure HELENA was coming home in a casket but by your grace and mercy she didn’t.ALICE on the other hand needs to realize that TINA means what she said about not putting herself or BETTE in the clutches of HELENA again,no matter if she is friends with her.ALICE can’t keep her mouth shut,her girlfriend,her nose out of other people business so i’m wondering can she keep time?This dinner is going to be an eyeopener for JACKSON,another homophobe TINA/BETTE will have to deal with,brother or not.thanks

      • dunnthat Tina has her priorities straight so neither Alice or Jack or anyone else will ever come between her and Bette’s relationship. Remember this is the redemption phase of the story and homophobic Jack will need to decide what he values most. I think Tina has had enough heartbreak. Not to give away too much but rest assured he is going to bring joy not grief to their lives.

      • SassyGran so wonderful to hear from you. Thank you for sticking with me. I’m working on ideas for the epilogue so I may be able to come up with a Great Gran. PM me if you have some suggestions. I could use the help. :-)

    4. Every time i wake up, i look at my phone if there is a notification that you have posted a update. And yes, there is always one. Sadly i can’t always read them straightaway, i work early and night shifts and at the moment early shifts, so i have to wait for a break or after my shift, but good God, i am gonna miss the almost daily updates from you!

      Their family is expanding again, can’t imagine that Jack will turn his sister down.

      Good talk between Tina and Alice, Tina made it very clear that nothing will become between her and Bette, hope that Alice see the light and is gonna making efforts to rekindle her friendship with Bette and the rest.

      • BIbi28 – thank you for being so loyal. I know lives get busy so I appreciate whenever you have time to read and comment. I think Jack will be a nice addition to the family. I’d love for Tina to reconnect with her estranged sister and dad too; maybe even a Great Gran for the kids … more to come.

    5. Alice went away with a lot. In the story, I think she really pushed her luck. How Peggy looks after her daughter has nothing to do with her. I know she loves Helena but she cannot say she loves her more than her own mother. So Alice can pack it in already.

      I think Alice should go to therapy too :-).

      Now Champ that is not a good place to finish the chapter, that was mean :-).
      I look forward to see what happen between Tina and her brother. Maybe this will make him more tolerant toward gay military personnels
