    Rolling onto her back, Tina began the slow process of bringing herself out of a deep slumber.

     

    With eyes still closed, she reached a hand out to the place that Bette had been but came up empty.

     

    Opening her eyes, she looked around but saw no trace of Bette.  Turning to her right, she finally located her, sitting on the deck in one of the two lounge chairs, looking over what Tina could only guess to be work papers.

     

    Swinging her legs off of the bed, she slowly stood and reaching for the ceiling, stretched the sleep from her tired limbs.

     

    Making her way over to the sliding glass door, she slowly opened it and walked outside, closing the door behind her.

     

    Hearing the door open, Bette turned her head slightly and smiled when she felt Tina running her fingers though her hair.

     

    “Hey” she said as Tina slid Bette’s legs over and joined her on the lounge chair.

     

    “Hey” she sleepily said, not fully awake.

     

    “How’d you sleep?” asked Bette, smiling at Tina’s sleepy demeanor.  She had always found Tina to be at her cutest when she was just waking up.  She looked like a little girl, innocent and vulnerable, someone that Bette wanted to pull into her arms and protect forever.

     

    “Really hard” she replied groggily.

     

    “Come here” Bette said as she placed all of the papers that she was looking through on the table between the two chairs.

     

    Without saying a word, Tina climbed between Bette’s legs and curled herself into a tight ball as Bette wrapped her arms protectively around her.

     

    Neither woman said a word, Bette just inhaling Tina and all that she was and Tina simply loving being in Bette’s arms again.

     

    After a few moments of silence, Tina said, “How long did you stay in bed?”

     

    “For a few minutes after you fell asleep.”

     

    “So all of five minutes?” she chuckled as she wrapped her arms around Bette’s, pulling them tighter around her.

     

    “Something like that” smiled Bette, placing soft kisses on the top of Tina’s head.

     

    “Mmm…” Tina moaned in response.  “Can we just stay like this forever?”

     

    “We could” said Bette, “but I’m afraid that we’d have to ask Stuart to come join us.  You know how he hates to be left out” she teased.

    38. no stopping, no stopping so why did you stop? So when Tina stopped Bette from unzipping her dress and told told her to get a good nights sleep i was on the floor laughing. Like there was any chance of Bette sleeping after Tina got her all hot and bothered. I’m glad Bette got a second chance to go at Tina that night.
