Tina brushed her hand down Bette’s arm and walks toward the garage. She grabs a travel mug filled with coffee and hands it to Bette and says, “Here, you better drink this on your way. I wouldn’t want you to bite Chris’ head off because you didn’t have enough coffee.”
“Thanks, T.” says Bette as she gets into the driver’s seat.
Tina sits back and relaxes on their way back to her condo. She thinks contentedly about the weekend she shared with Bette. She smiles as she recalls the playful bantering the two shared. She smiles more broadly when she remembers all the ‘naughty’ bits as well.
Bette, on the other hand, is functional but not fully conscious. She is on auto-pilot and doesn’t hear Tina remind her to make arrangements with her friend to meet the delivery men tomorrow.
“Hello, Bette, earth to Bette. Do you hear me,” asks Tina.
“Huh, what? Grumbles Bette.
“Boy, you weren’t kidding when you said you don’t do mornings.” said Tina. “I said don’t forget to talk to Bonnie about the delivery guys and the bed.”
Bette replied, “OK, I’ll talk with her as soon as I get to the station,” and they pulled into the parking lot in front of Tina’s condo.
Tina gets out of the car, walks over to Bette door, leans in the window and kisses her goodbye. “Thanks Babe, I’ll see you later. Call me when you get a chance. I love you.”
Bette smile and says, “I will, I love you more,” and drives off.
Bette pulls into the lot at the station, grabs her gear bag and head in to start another day. “Hey Chris,” said Bette as she tossed her bag into Unit 6.
“Hey Bette,” replies Chris. “So, how was your weekend? It must have been pretty good, ’cause you’re smiling and not chewing on anybody. Did you get laid?”
Bette shoots daggers from her eyes at Chris, “No.” Bette smiles.
“OK, give. Who is she,” questions Chris.
Bette just smiles and starts to do her equipment check. Bonnie walks into the garage and goes to her unit to start her daily check.

Ok, I had to go back to chapter 11 to find what I was looking for. Because this took place at Tina’s condo:…..
She turns her head to the side and briefly opens her eyes, locking on a picture of Tina and Eric. Bette stops. This wasn’t right. There were too many memories in this room, memories that did not include Bette. She gently pushes Tina up and off of her and sits up on the edge of the bed.
Which took us here:…..
“So Bette, what are your plans for today?”
“I thought I would take you shopping T.”
“Shopping, for what Babe?”
“It seems I need to purchase a new bed,” Bette says through her Cheshire cat grin.
So all this time, I am thinking that Bette was buying Tina a new bed for the condo and NOT Bette buying a new bed for her own place. Ok, am I the only one that thought Tina was getting a new bed?
no snQQpy i thought t was getting a new bed also. eric is gonna give t hell isnt he. and does t know that bette has been spilling the beans about them. will she care. mfh you must be good to y ouself for all of us. this was ssoooo good. t answering the door basically naked. what a visual. please this is so good. it makes me laugh and fan myself. have a good and safe day.

You sty well and healthy Love this story. Eric is an ASS. he will not give up.but he doesnt know Bette. Tina has done a pretty good job trying to ge rid of him. Bette will come to rescue her and Eric will remember her for a long long time. thanks

so in rescue me tina new right out that bette was biracial but in a crush a meeting then love she didnt, so what gives is tina blind .stevie wonder could even see that.

Gotta tell you, loved this chapter! Best line?…”What type of hyphenated American is he; Native, African, Latin?” I’ve never had it asked of me that way I loved it! Your right the nipples are a dead giveaway! Well on to Tuesday, and it would appear that you’re doing actually time in this story to torture us and the character!
