    Right Next Door PT3

She walked to the front door and easily the slipped the key inside. Once the door was unlocked, she nudged it open and briskly entered her home. The first thing she noticed as the cleanliness of the house. Tina must have been busy today then. Bette disposed of her things on the couch beside the door before moving towards the island.

She dug into her jacket pockets for a slip of paper she needed, she was going to pin it to the fridge door. Instead she found a chocolate bar wrapper that she’d eaten on the way home.

“I should really stop eating sometimes,” Bette mumbled down to the wrapper. She walked over to the bin and pushed the lid open. “What the fuck?”

There were some colourful flowers stuffed at the bottom of the bin with several other pieces of rubbish over the top in a poor attempt at hiding them. Bette crouched down and slipped her hand inside. She wanted to find the card. Had they been for Tina or her? Her fingers wrapped around the card and she quickly pulled it out.

‘Tina, I love you, I’m sorry – Eric. XX’

Bette rolled her eyes and scrunched up the card. They’d obviously not made up or something had happened before she got home. She straightened up and brushed off her slacks. That’s when she heard the quiet sobbing coming from the guest bedroom. Tina. Bette looked around awkwardly, as if there was somebody else in the house that she could ask to go see her. But of course, there was nobody.

“Tina?” Bette said hesitantly once she reached the guest bedrooms door.

The sniffling suddenly stopped and everything went silent. Mustn’t have known I was home.  Bette put her hand on the door handle and twisted it; once the door was slightly ajar she paused. I can’t just walk in!

    “Can I come in?”

Bette didn’t get a response straight away but Tina eventually said yes. Bette walked into the room and gasped at the sight before her. Tina was wrapped up in one of her dressing gowns, perched on the edge of the bed with her head in her hands. When she looked up, Bette could see her bloodshot, teary eyes.

    1. Ok, Eric needs to grow up and stay sober. What the hell does Tina see in this guy and why does she feel she needs to put up with his crap? Why is Eric unwilling to take Tina with him? Is he cheating or is he cheating and downlow, which would explain why he doesn’t want to see Tina without clothes? Answers please!!!

    2. So what did happen to Bette’s dressing gown??? Loved the update and guess I have to go with the consensus that Eric is an ass and Tina should dump him. bette is in a tough spot though with Eric being the artist for the CAC show. I have a feeling this one is going to get messy!

    3. I hope that this will not mess up Bette’s show because Franklin will jump all over her. But Eric needs to have his brain rewired or knocked around a little bit. You don’t leave a beautiful woman at home to drink and I am sure play around with some scuzzy woman. It also sounds like Eric is pushing Bette towards Tina.

    4. Man. Tina could do way better than an alcoholic who treats her like that.. hopefully Eric will be out of the way romantically soon. It certainly isn’t a healthy relationship.
