Right Next Door PT7
“I can’t believe you were fired,” Alice mumbled into the air, a blank expression on her face.
Bette watched her suspiciously for a moment before picking up her cup of coffee and taking a sip.
It was seven in the morning and Alice had stopped by at half six, in the middle of her daily jog. As usual, Bette handed her a bottle of water and sat on her porch to talk about the previous day.
“I can’t believe I was fired,” Bette repeated with an eye roll.
She could believe she was fired.
“What has Tina said about it?”
“Nothing much really, she doesn’t seem to care – I guess it’s because she isn’t the one who has to look around for a new job, is it?”
Alice nodded in agreement before taking another slurp from her bottle.
“We’re going out for dinner tonight though. Our first date.”
“When she came to stay, you had no idea this was going to happen, did you?” Alice looked over at her best friend with curious eyes as she awaited an answer. “It all seems odd to me.”
Bette agreed with Alice completely.
“I mean, a week ago, you were Bette Porter, an LA stud, you were going to bars every night and waking up with random women every morning. As soon as Eric and Tina come to stay, you fall for Tina and get sacked from the job you love. It’s crazy.”
She watched as Bette groaned in frustration and leant forward. Her hands cupped her head as she leant against her knees.
“Do you really love her?” Alice asked carefully.
“I never said I loved her Al, I just said that I liked her. There is a difference,” Bette muttered under her breath. “And yes, I know I do like her. But this is crazy. My whole life is turning upside down. Who thought that was possible in a matter of days?”
Alice reached over and squeezed her knee in an attempt at comfort. As soon as she pulled back, her watch beeped and broke the comfortable silence they were overwhelmed in.
“I’m sorry to tell you this Bette – but it is time for me to leave.”

This is kinda funny. They are kinda working backwards. Lets see Porter’s reaction if they ever go to a club and the other women are checking out Tina. And what, she never heard of the 2nd date rule. Oh, yeah they really haven’t even had the first one yet. Poor Bette she has no idea her nights of bringing home a different woman are over.
They shouldn’t have a second date. Why? Because the first will never end. Man I think that sounded corny. It sounded good in my head.
Hahahahhaha
Everything’s better with no Eric.
I don’t have long but I still had to read and comment, Love it :)More soon?Angel D x
One or both need to get a job. I sure hope that Eric and the CAC go bust. Hopefully, once they are employed and settled then they really can move forward with their romance.
Well, I woud of thought bette might be a bit more upset/hostile when she realized what has happened. She’s a better Alpha than me, I’d have lost my mind, still had plenty of sex with her mind you but done lost my mind about the other stuff! PPS
Good chapter. They are so cute!
Very nice, yeah it is funny they are trying to get back in ‘virgin mode’ after they tasted already the sweetness of lovemaking. Really looking forward to the next step.
does T have a job?…i’m a bit practical these days. lol…pps
I am with Rau. Does T have a job? I just hope they do get to know each other fast. Thanks
You are still not going to continue the history, at time.
Ok this need to be continued because there are so many unaswered questions…Does Tina have a job? Did they fall in love unconditionally? Did Bette find another job? Did Tina and Kit establish a relationship now that shes dating her sister?….so many things
