    "And she just upped and left?" Lara asked, bemusement in her voice. It was her second phone call from Dana in an hour, and from the sounds of it things it had gone better than expected, even if Dana didn’t think so. "At least you’ve both sorted out your feelings for one another."

     

    "But what good is that if Alice is just going to walk off!" Dana hissed over the phone, trying to keep her voice as low as possible due to the overly-nosey nature of her work colleagues. "God she’s such a cock tease!"

     

    "Well not exactly…"

     

    "Not helping Lara." Dana heard the redhead laugh over the phone and asked herself why she was calling her. She had never been empathetic to her situation, why would she start now. "Lara… look. I just.. I don’t know what to do…"

     

    "Well to be honest this whole teasing thing just sounds like one giant round of foreplay," Lara explained rationally. "Just go with it. Think of the sex. You guys have been flirting and bickering with each other for ages. It’s going to be mind-blowing!"

     

     

     

     

    "Hello, Alice?" Dana didn’t try to hide the sinister grin that appeared on her face as she heard the blonde reply.

     

    "Dana is that you?" She sounded a little startled over the phone. "You aren’t ringing me simply to complain about what happened today, are you? If so you really have to get over it. You were avoiding me all day."

     

    "I wasn’t avoiding you," the brunette lied. "I had a deadline this afternoon. Anyway, about what happened in the photocopying room…"

     

    Dana swore she could sense the blonde smile coyly at her words. "Yes?"

     

    "You were right. We shouldn’t have let things go that far between us at the workplace." Dana continued when the blonde didn’t reply. "In fact, after what you said… well maybe it’s wise for us to just be friends, you know? I mean we’d be having those sort of flirtatious conversations all the time if we pursued anything more and is that so wise? It might affect our work ethic…"

     

    "What?" Alice hissed down the phone is disbelief. "Since when have you ever cared about work ethic? I didn’t even think you had one! That’s a stupid idea!"

    7. OMG! OMG! OMFG! I just realized that you updated this story after I commented on your new story! Yay for you being back (you were definitely missed), and this update was amazing. Kinda upset you ended it there, but anticipation is a good thing! Just dont make us wait forever and a day to update again. And as far as where you should take the story, I have no idea, but I’m sure anything you come up with will be awesome. :-)
