    Dont ya just hate summaries?

     

     

     

    Alice heard the quiet knock on her door that she had been anxiously awaiting all day at exactly 2:03am. She jumped to the door, but was able to restrain herself for a few seconds before opening it.

     

    No sense in seeming too excited…

     

    "Hey stranger." Alice greeted Dana with a smile and leant against the door frame for a moment, taking in the sight of the brunette in front of her, who seemed nervous but just as eager as Alice was. "You didn’t try hammering down my door this time… that’s a good sign."

     

    "I only do that as a way of meeting new friends," Dana replied with a smirk as Alice moved aside to let her in. "No use in damaging a person’s property once you know them… where’s the fun in that?"

     

    The two walked into Alice’s large hotel room and Dana sat down on the couch as Alice busied herself with trying to find two clean glasses in her excuse for a kitchen.

     

    "Your hotel room is nice," Dana commented as she looked around the place. It was very homely, unlike her own room.

     

    Alice sat down on the couch beside Dana with two glasses of wine, handing one over to Dana; "Yep, it’s a good little area, isn’t it?"

     

    "How long have you been staying here?" Dana asked with curiosity, wondering how long she had this new friend here for.

     

    "About two years." Alice’s replied caused Dana to almost spit out the sip of wine she had just taken. Recovering, the brunette looked up at Alice in surprise, waiting for her to explain. "My never-present father owns the place. I got a job here two years ago, moved from LA and called upon him for somewhere to stay. This was going to be just temporary, but it’s central and I’m really too lazy to find a place of my own. As for my father, well he doesn’t mind… it keeps me happy without him having to put in any effort personally."

     

    "I’m sorry," Dana mumbled genuinely, causing Alice to smile grimly.

     

    "Don’t be. I’m not emotionally bothered by it all," Alice explained gently. "And it leaves me with free accommodation, so who am I really to complain?"

    1. Actually, I like summaries. It helps me decide whether to read a story. Some stories or pairings just don’t interest me so I skip ’em. I don’t read all fanfics including some that I open Thanks for sharing your talent.

    3. My my my. How I missed this story, I have absolutely no idea. I went back to read “Road to Joy”, for the 50th time (and I’m still anxiously awaiting an update on!), and I saw that you had posted this story! I do have to say that it already has me hooked! :-) I love the way you write these characters, and I cannot WAIT until you update again. So please, to make my little Danish loving heart happy again, please update SOON! :-P

    4. I don’t hate them either. They help me figure out if a new story is a danish story. I was pleasantly surprised that Dana told Alice about Tonya. Sometimes she has serious avoidance problems. I can’t wait for “2am tomorrow”. lol I’m also looking forward to your other updates.

    5. dana is just too fucking cute sometimes. i was impressed too see her come clean to alice about her relationship w/ Tonya. 2 years of being w/ Tonya though?? damn… lol. i liked the bit about how she’s been trying to get rid of her for 1 1/2 years. hopefully alice will provide enough motivation for dana to break it off. great chapter! can’t wait to read more of this and your other stories

    6. I have to agree with ackemat on this one, I was surprised too that Dana told Alice about Tonya, but I’m glad. Now she just has to tell her that Tonya’s a scary robot so that danish can get together. This is really cute so far, I love how nervous and anxious they are around each other. Danish beginnings are the best, and this one is no exception. Keep up the excellent work!
