Chapter twenty-three
Bette’s file got transferred to recovery department, which meant less tests, less check-ups, and less intrusion. She was cleared to wander about in more comfortable clothes too. It enabled her to take her son to the hospital cafeteria for ice cream. He just retook his finals and started his summer vacation, so he visited her early in the morning and played in the hospital all day.
Though Tina would beg to differ with warning glares and nag the boy to cut down the sugar intake, the brunette still liked to spoil him a little from time to time. In fact, she took him down to the cafeteria to entrust him with some mission that was part of her plan.
“Tell me again how you proposed to mom?” Michelangelo rested his chin on his palms after finishing his ice cream. Tina had told him her side of the story, but he was more curious in the whole process of the proposal.
The brunette sat further into her chair and relaxed, recalling the arrangement she made ten years ago. Ah… she sighed a little, such a romantic she was. “Well, I took her to a room in our school, and we had sandwich for lunch, then I played her this song, and I asked.”
The boy asked questions and took her answers very seriously. “But you didn’t mention a ring bearer, you didn’t have one?”
“We most certainly did. It was on the actual wedding day. You see this time is different because I’m asking mama T to remarry me. It’s gonna be our anniversary soon, so I’m thinking to propose and renew our vows on the same day. That’s why I need you, and Alice.”
“I heard you had a big, big wedding.” He continued to ask, wanting to get every detail. This was a big deal, he believed, and the fact that his mother trusted him to be a link of it made him very proud and eager. “You are not gonna send invitations this time?”
“Nope.” She shook her head. “Well, I’m not telling anyone else before the day, but I guess our friends should be there, people at our Thanksgiving dinner, they’re family.”
“Can auntie Shane and auntie Dana come too? They came to Christmas dinner one year.”

So, more fun and happiness, here they are.
I think it’s so very nice of you to ask about my last story, the Lucky One. I started this one and thought that it’ll be a short sideway story, wouldn’t take much time. But it proved that I was wrong. The readers liked it and requested me to explore further into it. I got too distracted by this story.
I will go back to the Lucky One as I end this one. It’s still in the plotting progress.
But I think I’d take a breather too. College starts this fall and I’m traveling over 7000 miles to study in a different country. Soon my life would get pretty busy. I’ll try to write on holidays.
Now please be patient with me.
I hope you like this chapter, and there’s gonna be another if you’d want that.

This was a amazing chapter and I love every word of it…Awe Michaelanglo is in love so cute and adorable, but also so sad because most time little kids get their little hearts broken at that age and many more times growing up, hopefully LIllian be ok so he will spared…I dont think I can deal with you taking breathers from writing lol as these stories fill me up but real life is more important…and can I just say yayyy your going to finish The Lucky One, you’re just awesome!

I loved the banter between them, and it was a sweet scene between Bette and her son, when talking about his love. I’m so glad that Bette gave good advice to her son, who will follow it.
