It was already 11 o’clock when they finally left their room and headed out to the beach. They lay together on one chair, face to face. Bette read a book to Tina while Tina played with the curls of Bette’s hair.
Bette: “Are you even listening to the story?”
Tina smirked and kissed Bette on the lips.
Tina: “No, I’m sorry. I was so caught up in studying your hair that I didn’t listen to the story anymore.”
Bette: “You don’t like it when I read to you?”
Tina: No, it’s not that. I love listening to your voice. It’s just that I love you so much that all my attention goes to you instead of the story.”
Bette: “I love you too T.”
They both leaned in and shared a long and slow loving kiss. The rumbling of Tina’s stomach interrupted their kiss.
Bette: “Hungry baby?”
Tina: “A little bit. We didn’t really eat that much this morning.”
Bette: “You’re right about that. I didn’t really feel like toast and eggs, I preferred a piece of you. You taste so sweet, I just can’t get enough of you T.”
Tina: “Well you don’t taste that bad either. I love that you can’t get enough of me baby.”
Bette: “I love you so much T.”
Tina: “I love you more…”
After a nice Thai meal, the two beautiful women retreated to their bedroom for a little nap. They fell a sleep in each other’s arms, like they had so many times before. They knew one another so well that it was almost like their two bodies collided together as one. They completed each other in so many ways that it really seemed like they were made for one another. Bette was the first to wake up and waited for Tina to join her. She took in the sight of her gorgeous wife, the love of her life and thought again about how lucky she was. ‘People spend their lives to find what I have found. I never want to lose Tina. I don’t know what I’d do without her.’ Tina slowly opened her eyes and looked at her partner. She caressed Bette’s face and they rested their heads together, both sighing at the same time.
Bette: “We have to leave tomorrow.”
Tina: “I know.”
Bette: “Do you wish we didn’t have to leave?”
Tina: “Yeah, don’t you?”
Bette: “Yeah, I just love spending so much private quality time with you T.”
Tina: “Me too Bette.”
Bette: “Do you want to go to the pool? We can pack our bags tomorrow morning before we leave for the airport.”
Tina: “Yeah, that sounds great.”
The two lovers went to the pool and enjoyed the rays of the sun beading down upon them. They sat at the bar and sipped at their drinks, while watching one another from the corner of their eyes. Bette took Tina’s hand in hers and they intertwined their fingers. Tina softly rubbed Bette’s hand with her thumb, letting her know she was truly happy. Bette could see Tina’s eyes smile and felt the happiness and love radiate from deep within her lover’s heart.
