While everyone else was completely focused on Tina’s baby Jenny backed slowly towards the door.  Making sure that no one, especially Shane, say her leave.  Shutting the door silently she walked quickly down the hall.

“Hey Jenny!  Wait!  Where are you going?”  Shane called as she jogged down the hall to catch Jenny.

“Oh…nowhere.  I just thought maybe Bette and Tina would only want their close friends around right now.”  Came Jenny’s weak reply.

“That’s ***** and you know it, what’s really going on Jenny?”

“I need to sleep, I was going home.”

“Jenny we have something to talk about, you need some help.  I don’t think being alone is a good idea after what I saw earlier.”

“I’m alright now, really.  Just a really dark moment, you understand right?”

“I understand you need to come with me to the elevator.”

Grabbing Jenny by the arm Shane steered her towards the open elevator and pushed the button for the 4th floor.  Where the mental health unit was.

“There’s someone here who I’ve talked to before that might be able to help you through this.”  Shane said quietly.

Jenny looked at her but said nothing.  She really was lost in her own head, were her own memories real?  Life made no sense right now, everything known had changed and success didn’t always come when dreams were pursued.  She had seized the day only to grasp at nothing and had been in a free fall since.  The only thing that made any sense was causing her body to hurt as much as her mind felt it should.

The doors opened and Shan took her arm again, half leading and half dragging Jenny down the hall.  Stopping halfway down in front of a closed door with a smiley face right in the middle Shane said to Jenny,

“This is Dr. Randel’s  office, let me see if she’s here.”  Shane knocked on the door.

“Shane!  Wow, I haven’t seen you around here in a long time.  Is everything ok?”  The pleasant middle aged brunette asked in a jolly voice as she opened the door.

“Oh I’m doing well; my friend here could really use someone to talk to right now though.”  Shane turned to Jenny, “Jenny, hey this is Dr. Randel.”

    1. Excellent start. Sadly I am not so sure we will get the chance in the show to see Jenny’s journey through her pain, but I think you have captured it perfectly. I could almost feel Jenny’s screams of anguish jumping off the screen at me. I look forward to seeing where you take this
