    Seemingly Lost Chptr. 29

“Babe that was years ago, I’m healthy. My entire body is functioning normally and I can bear another child.”

“I don’t care if it was decades ago. I will NOT participate in anything that could take you away from me and the kids. Do you not realize that after you gave birth to my son, you died. Ain’t no way in hell I’m going through that again.”

Here it was two years later and Azi was starting the first grade and the twins were growing taller by the day. Bette could hardly contain Tina she was so excited to get over to the adoption agency today. Tomorrow was the day that they were going to see what siblings they could adopt. By them wanting to adopt more than one baby they were practically fast tracked through the system. Tina was running around the house trying to keep herself busy, and not think to heavily on what lay ahead of them both.

Once Tina had pulled away from work long enough she realized that the house they were staying in was entirely to small to accommodate their growing family. Bette wanted to sell the house and look for something else larger but Tina had convinced her that adding on to the house instead of buying anew would save them a whole lot of money and they would be able to keep the house where they’ve set their roots. Tina really enjoyed working on her home, it brought her some semblance of controllable chaos that she was starting to miss by being home from work. The heavy noises, the constant banging, the feeling of power tools in her hands made her mind relax and focus. Since she’d practically left work the only other time she could concentrate was when she was with the kids or Bette.

Tina had purposely not started the work on Bette and Tina’s upstairs bathroom so she could surprise Bette. Bette’s birthday was coming up and she’d had an idea for her present from the kids, she was glad that Bette seemed distracted by the adoption that she hadn’t noticed that their bathroom wasn’t done yet.

The day started like any other, Bette and Tina running through their usual schedule of getting ready with the kids. Surprisingly once Tina pulled away from work she found out that she liked being able to take the kids to school and be there to pick them up, it was a time for them to bombard her with stories and their contagious excitement. It also didn’t hurt that sometimes Tina would sneak the kids after school to an ice cream shop or a day at the theater and arcade, she liked having free time with her children, these customs were their own little secrets.

    1. Hey nettababy03, What a wonderful family Bette and Tina now have. it is their love that comforts and nourishes it. More please as the bathroom moment was spectacular. It is something that Bette and Tina will cherish forever. More please. Many thanks from Your Loyal Fan.

    2. I’ve just spent the last two days reading this entire story from the first chapter to this one because I could not remember some parts of it and I had to go back. This is the most loving story I’ve read in a long time. All the ups and downs all filled with an astonishing love for each other and their children. I can tell that you are from somewhere in the south from your references to y’all and others especially “Big Momma.” I had two Big Mommas, one I called Big Momma who was my paternal grandmother and the other I called Momma because she helped rear me and sweeter and loving ladies you just couldn’t get enough of, they’ve been gone a long time and I miss them everyday. Was Kit not in this story, I don’t remember reading about her. And how does Tina’s parents feel about the three new children in their lives? I can only believe that they will love them just as much as the other three. I can just imagine how the children will take to the grandparents they will feel such love from them something they have not had enough of. Tina’s parents are very special people and I do believe that integrating the new children with everyone will be really special when it happens. Bishop is quite a little man and I would love to see more interaction with all the children and the extended family as the story goes further. This is quite a story you have crafted and I just love it. Thank you for bringing it to us.
