Seemingly Lost Chptr. 29
“Did you guys do all of this?” Bette asked looking over at the cheery and beaming faces as they nodded excitedly and she couldn’t help the warm feeling that washed over her as she looked at her twin girls shyly trying to hide their smiles.
……………………………………
The children had all brought their food into their bedroom and they all shared Breakfast in bed with Bette and Tina. Laughter and smiles all went around as they casually sat around enjoying the early morning with their parents. With the plates all safely off of the bed they ended up with the girls in between Bette and Tina resting against the headboard, Bishop, Miah and Jacky were laying down at the foot of the bed with Azi practically laying across them.
“You will not tell my babies that story!” Tina said reaching over to cover Bette’s mouth as she fought with both hands trying to keep Tina away from her.
“…And your mother ended up practically throwing that poor girl down the stairs.” Bette said with both of Tina’s wrists in her hands.
“Alright, alright, embarrassing story over.” Tina said with a smile on her face as she looked down the bed at the kids who were still laughing. “Who wants to show momma her surprise?” All six of them practically jumped up with excitement shouting “Me! Me! Me!”
“What surprise, there’s more than this?” Bette asked as she looked over at Tina who was grinning at the way the kids were practically climbing over each other trying to be first to introduce this gift. “Babe I told you nothing big this year.”
“Well this is something that’s really for the both of us.” Tina winked at Bette as she pulled a blindfold out of her nightstand drawer.
Tina had a grip on Bette’s forearms as she walked backwards leading Bette to their bathroom door with the kids following close behind them, snickering as Bette cautiously walked through the hallways of the top floor of their home.
Tina stopped and removed Bette’s blindfold, Bette opened her eyes to see a big blue bow across their bathroom door. “You finished it?!” Bette said now standing excitedly on her tippy-toes when she brought a nodding Tina into her arms. “Ok, get away from me.” Bette playfully threw Tina behind her and opened the door. She was instantly blown away. The design was exactly as she pictured it, the claw foot extra large tub, the standing shower with great detail to the glass doors, the windows allowed a great deal of morning light, everything that Bette had suggested Tina took into account and gave her the bathroom fit for a queen. Right down to the detail of the backsplash that Bette wanted. But the main focus and what brought gentle tears to her eyes were the small and scattered hand and foot prints all over their bathroom floor. Tina had gotten a friend to make the foot and hand prints that the kids all made into tile that she’d spent hours making sure she scattered them appropriately throughout the bathroom and the rest she made into a small heart centered in the floor, it was something that Tina knew Bette would love and she would undoubtedly cherish it for a lifetime.

Great chapter. Youdescribed the bathroom so well I can almost see it in my mind’s eye. Thanks for bringing us another update.
A special update for me, since I am Brazilian. Waiting for more updates of their stories. ” Adorei – obrigada :) “
I’ve just spent the last two days reading this entire story from the first chapter to this one because I could not remember some parts of it and I had to go back. This is the most loving story I’ve read in a long time. All the ups and downs all filled with an astonishing love for each other and their children. I can tell that you are from somewhere in the south from your references to y’all and others especially “Big Momma.” I had two Big Mommas, one I called Big Momma who was my paternal grandmother and the other I called Momma because she helped rear me and sweeter and loving ladies you just couldn’t get enough of, they’ve been gone a long time and I miss them everyday. Was Kit not in this story, I don’t remember reading about her. And how does Tina’s parents feel about the three new children in their lives? I can only believe that they will love them just as much as the other three. I can just imagine how the children will take to the grandparents they will feel such love from them something they have not had enough of. Tina’s parents are very special people and I do believe that integrating the new children with everyone will be really special when it happens. Bishop is quite a little man and I would love to see more interaction with all the children and the extended family as the story goes further. This is quite a story you have crafted and I just love it. Thank you for bringing it to us.
