Previously From The Sequel Chapter 5 –

Tina pulled away and draped her arms along the back of Bette’s neck. Cooling down and taking a deep breath. Bette’s eyes were still a bit glassy as her passion had been building. She loosened her tight hold on Tina and took a deep breath herself.

“We are being scrutinized.” Bette said to Tina as they continued to move with each other. Other women were watching them and following their every move.

“They can look all they want.” Tina ran her hands up Bette’s bare arms. Feeling their strength and power. She finally interlaced her fingers with Bette’s. “I’ve got the real thing.”

“Brag much?” Bette chuckled at the blonde’s comment.

    “I only see you babe.”

“Same here my love.” Bette led the blonde on the dance floor, intimately caressing her at every turn. “I love it when you’re this close to me.”

“I think we should be close like this more often.”

Bette moved one hand to Tina’s waist and the other to the top of the blonde’s thigh. The producer’s dress opening and revealing a good portion of Tina’s left leg with every move.

    “Jesus T.”

“Hmmm?” Tina muttered, her head tucked into Bette’s neck and enjoying their embrace.

“I love you babe.” Bette leaned further towards her girlfriend and nuzzled her neck.

Tina turned towards Bette and captured her lips with her own. The kiss deep and long, wandering and intimate.

“Shall we go?” Tina whispered, the look in her eyes smoldering as she regarded her girlfriend.

“Uh, yeah.” Bette whispered back, her breathing rushed and her heart beating just as fast. “Let’s go.”

“Oh my God, Tina.” Came the sultry voice from beside them as they made their way off the dance floor.

The blonde was suddenly enveloped in a tight hug with Bette looking on in surprise and shock.

    1. I had tears of happiness too in my eyes as I read this chapter.!

But I too had my questions when they each were scared by the other in how they might be feeling and questioning if they were making the right decisions.
I loved their rededication to each other. It was moving, romantic and reached into their hearts & souls.
      I just loved it Collins!

What a bitch Amy was!! If she had been watching Tina she had to see Bette to and the way they danced with each other – they were practically making love on the dance floor. What a pompous ass she was. So glad both Tina and Bette put her in her place – nowhere!! Bette’s reaction was a classic Bette in many ways – like she couldn’t help herself with a few well placed words, jealous and protective. But I also saw how you showed her maturity and how she allowed Tina to stand on her own. Bette was there by her side just in case she needed her. Nicely done.

And them both of them being honest about their past two years and being accepting of the other without judgement. That really showed how much they have grown and are ready to be that couple they want to be.
Bette seemed surprised that Tina still thought of her and she loved that Tina did. It was reassuring to her that Tina was committed to them all along, she just had to find her way back.

And Angie putting her two cents in and cheering on her parents and their reconciliation. That was sweet. She’s definitely in their corner and wants them happy.

I like how you break the tension sometimes with them teasing each other. They can still find those catch points in each other that they find adorable and cherish.

I find the secret idea you came up with really good. You would think that after all the time they have been together, they would know everything about each other. But as you demonstrated early on in this story, Tina had some things she hadn’t shared with Bette. So now the door is open for them to continue to share and find things in each other that makes their love new and endearing. More little treasures to discover about each other and cherish. Fantastic. Can’t wait to learn more secrets.

Then Tina wanting to rip Bette’s clothes off and then the next minute she’s venerable in her own skin about her body and Bette reassures her. That was so touching that they both feel safe with each other. In their special space and in love.

Your description of their love making was super – so loving. Tina wanted Bette to feel cherished and safe and held. She lavished her woman with love and tenderness. Letting her know she would be there to catch her and hold her.

I may not have been Tina’s intention when she originally planned the date, but it turned out to be the perfect segue into their romantic part of the evening. She set the stage all along the way the entire night with all the special gifts and places, the private dinner, the carriage ride, the dance club and then the snuggle time back at home. Perfect in every way.

Thank you for bring them back together 100% and allowing them to feel the love and companionship they so definitely have for each other.

Loved all the pictures as always.

Can’t wait for what comes next!!

      • Hey Leigh,

I see that you’ve had some challenges getting your comment posted – glad that you did. No worries.

Thanks so much for all your kind words. This was a lovely comment & it warmed my heart. I am so happy that you liked the chapter & all the little details in both chapters on their date.

So I had to have some conflict & what better way than to have a jealous Bette being all protective towards her woman!! So many times in the past we have seen Tina in Bette’s position with some woman coming on to her & Tina standing on the sidelines watching. So I thought I would flip the situation & make Tina the object of desire.

You’re right that it did show how much Bette & Tina have grown over the years & how they value the other & have trust that maybe wasn’t so obvious a few years ago. Their at home talk demonstrated this growth & how they react to each other now That open communication & being honest. A very positive shift in their relationship.

I use Angie as comic relief sometimes for them & how they interact as a family. She’s so easy to write about & offers a foil for both her parents in certain situations.

You mentioned the secrets scene & you were absolutely right – it opened up another part to their relationship that most couples forget about or avoid. It’s another way for them to share some intimate moments with each other – sometimes funny & sometimes informational. It’s a way for them to build new memories with each other by sharing parts of their past that they either never got to before or simply didn’t think was important. Like real life when we say if we stop learning, life becomes stale – Same way in a relationship – search for new things in your mate & cherish those moments & discoveries. I’ll use it again before the story ends to give a little more insight. Glad that it was effective & you liked it.

Honestly, when I first started to write the chapter, I did not intend for them to consummate the physical part of their reunion, but as I wrote the chapter, it just seemed natural that the end result would lead to that. It was time – Bette was finally ready. She’s fully vested & wants this to last. Tina’s shown she’s committed too & is staying for the long haul which will lead to forever.

Thanks for all your thoughts & the Gold Star!!!!!

        • So sorry about all the postings, darn technology.

You are so welcome with the kind words – you earned them.

I have a younger sister & she teased our parents all the time about all the lovey/dovey stuff. Now I tease her & her boyfriend!!! Life comes full circle.

So glad you decided to bring them back together in every way.

Looking forward to what comes next!

    2. Wow – you had me in tears too when I was reading this! The love they have for each other just jumped from the pages and wrapped around my own heart.

I was scared too when they both questioned each other and were unsure if they had done the right thing or had they made a mistake.

I wanted to jump for joy when they both realized they were overthinking the issue.
      Great job with that.

And what a bitch Amy was. She had to have seen Bette dancing with Tina if she had been watching Tina as she claimed. What the hell was her problem? She was used to scoring every chance she got and was having a hard time accepting the fact that it wasn’t happening that night. At least not with Tina.
Loved too how jealous Bette was – in some ways she reacted the way she always would have – wanting to jump in and save the day. You were right – she couldn’t help herself. But then she held back and allowed Tina to hold her own and get her point across. Bette supported her and let her know she was still there is needed. That was a new take on Bette Porter and showed how she’s matured and is ready for a new chapter in her relationship with Tina. So long Amy!

And then they get home and have to have the talk. They were open with each other, honest about the last two years and how they acted, who they were with. That showed another step forward for them as a couple – their willingness to address an issue and not let it derail their progress. That was great.

Bette seemed surprised that Tina had still thought of her when she moved away to Toronto. But then she was happy that Tina admitted that she still loved her. It kind of reaffirmed Bette’s continued love for her even when she thought it might be for nothing. That was a big deal for Bette and I think it helped lead her to wanting to give all of herself to Tina again.

And then Angie cheering them on and letting them know that she was okay with them being a true couple again. In her heart, she just wants her parents to be happy and together.
I liked the idea of the secrets they may not know about the other yet. Fantastic job Collins. You get the Gold Star from me.
Can’t wait for the next chapter!

      • Hi Cathy,

Thank you for reading this chapter & staying the course with the story.

Yes, the story is slowly coming to an end on a regular basis. I might revisit it down the line & provide an update like BK & SuperK have done with their own stories. That seems to be a course of action that many readers like.

So I am leaning toward that path for this story.

And I have another story I have been working on that will post soon. I hope you will check it out.

        Thanks & stay safe.

    3. I said after Chapter 10 of the first story, that I would not be making comments. I have read every word that has been publish by this author. Since the story is coming to an end, I feel compelled to make a comment.

Okay, maybe I missed something somewhere…but what exactly was so special about this night which convinced Bette that Tina has proven she is committed to the relationship? Was it when she confession that she had lovers while they were divorced? Was it jealousy of Amy having her arms around Bette and whom she had had a one night stand? Was it revealing that there was some singing star producer interested in her when she was in high school? Maybe the two roses, the bracelet, and the tickets to the art show in Los Angeles? Oh, maybe it was calling the apartment their northern home? What exactly is going to be in their future relationship which was not there prior to the divorce? An accomplished successful Tina in the film industry who now believes she is Bette’s equal or even a little better than Bette? Perhaps a more domineering Tina who calls all the shots? Or is it that Bette’s sexual desire for Tina could be resisted any longer. And why is it that having sex memorializes a commitment to a future relationship when they have both engaged in sex with others without a commitment?

There is so much I do not understand about this couple…. I have no doubt they love each other. But they loved each other when they broke up. And Tina still left…. and she loved Bette while she was gone and it appears that the only thing that is going to change as of this chapter is that they will be a couple again by declaration and by having sex after a very long wait. As Tina plans to continue her job in Toronto while Bette works on her foundation in LA and being Angie’s mom, their life will be exactly as it has been for six months of the year. Is that enough to keep them together forever?

I appreciate you efforts to put this story out… I know it takes time and effort and a lot of hard work. For some it takes research of things we know not much about. All of this is hard work and takes commitment. I congratulate you for taking this on….

      • Don’t know that you “missed” anything, but perhaps this answers your questions as to why Tibette seemed to be unduly hesitant.

“As much as Tina wanted to rip Bette’s clothes off and take her here and now and spend all night loving her, reason be damned, she KNEW in her heart that she would have to proceed WITH CARE.

Bette’s bold words and declarations were one thing, but the CONDITION of her HEART was something else. T H I S wasn’t the brash, cavalier woman of her youth . . . . Have any woman she wanted. And with a devil may care attitude. T H I S woman tonight was the sensitive, caring, loving, generous Bette that she wanted to be hers for the rest of their lives.

She would need to reassure Bette, let hr know that she would be here.

I think Tina having finally come to understand that her actions of leaving Bette without explanation had really blasted a hole in Bette’s soul . . . They both learned that “sex” ISN’T just sex. There is a spiritual component that enables the heartbeat of intimacy to rule in their “lovers world”

      • Hi Martha,

Thank you for continuing to read & follow along with this story, even when it hasn’t been easy.
I also want to thank you for the words of appreciation for what it takes to put one of these stories together. Both the time & effort and all the research & commitment to make the story as believable as possible. You know firsthand what it takes as you’ve written a story yourself. It does take a LOT of effort!

I applaud you too for the courage it took to post your story & put it out there for everyone to see. By the way, you did mention about another story as your first was coming to an end. Are you still planning or working on it?

I will admit that this hasn’t been an easy story to write or a popular topic with dealing with the Tibette divorce & the background of GQ and its failures & disconnect from OG. I know it hasn’t been an easy read & I too got frustrated with it more than once or twice and then some more!

I will tell you that I have struggled with this story myself, but it was what I chose to write & I wanted to see it through to the end. Warts and all. In hindsight, I probably should have finished it at the Epilogue chapter & then maybe revisited it in a few months & had an update as to where they were in their relationship & how it all worked out. But I didn’t & now it’s almost to its end. And that task is coming soon. I have tried to make it as enjoyable as possible even with their divorce & all its consequences hanging over them.

There are a few chapters left to the story & their future will be a bit more balanced. You mentioned about Tina still having her job in Toronto. That is true at the moment & without revealing too much of what still has to be told. You will see how it works out & makes sense & her commitment to her family will be her priority. Remember her dream of opening a teaching studio and that could very well come into play as we move towards the end. More changes to come. Remember, it’s been less than a month since Tina first showed up in Silver Lake.

In answer to your question of why Bette decided now was the time for their sexual reconnection – perhaps this will help in that understanding – from the chapter itself –

        “You sure?” Tina whispered
“Absolutely.” Bette pulled back to look into the hazel eyes she loved so much. Fortified with courage by the love she saw reflected back towards her. Her voice was low and soft. “I realized tonight that I’ve been asking you for proof of your love and your willingness to rebuild our relationship and stay constant. Not to run again. You’ve opened yourself up to me and bared everything.”
        “I want this Bette.”
“I know you do and I want it too. I want you babe.” Bette trailed her fingers along Tina’s jaw and held her chin. “I want to prove to you too that I’m just as committed as you. That I believe you and want a full relationship in every sense of the word. No more holding back.”
“I can’t continue to ask you to be all in if I can’t do the same.” Bette brought Tina’s left hand to her lips. “I want to show you my love and hold you close forever.”

To me Bette realizing that she can’t continue to hold Tina to one standard & expectation & herself to not do the same. She has to be fully committed, fully engaged– all in too. She had to have that faith in Tina and herself. At her core, she knows love holds the key to her happiness & that love is with Tina.

What else could Tina do – quit her job, move back to LA fulltime & be the stay at home wife to Bette? That wouldn’t work either. Neither would be happy with that scenario. They both have goals & things they want to accomplish. They will be able to do it all in LA. There will always be challenges, but they can face them together.

Again, thank you for taking the time to let me know your perspective – I appreciate you too. You make me think & sometimes point me in a different direction & that’s okay. No worries.

I’ve evolved as a writer – still not as good as I want to be though, I still have much to learn. But I do believe I am learning more with each chapter & story I tell & post. Thanks for your patience with me in that regard. You know as a writer we all have a vision of what we want to portray & sometimes our words don’t always convey what we had hoped they would. Enter rewrites & revisions!!!

I hope you will give my new story a try when it starts to post in a few weeks. It’s totally different than this story & I guarantee there will be no GQ references, the word divorce or cheating anywhere in it. There will be a few OG characters that will play important roles in the story too. There will be drama of course & soul searching, some illness & medical references & several chapters of how this version of Tibette met, fell in love & what the outcome of that was. Look for it soon – probably next month.

Thanks again & I wish you well.

Stay safe & I hope you have gotten the Covid vaccine already. My wife & I have received ours & we feel so relieved & less stressed about the possibility of contracting the virus. It’s been a scary year. I have 2 new nephews back on the east coast that I haven’t yet met in person & I so want to. Facetime & zoom calls can only go so far.

        Best Regards.

        Collins

    4. Collins,
I liked the slow climb back to the place of true intimacy. Life had slapped them upside the head (for bad choices), suckered punched them with right & left crosses (revealing insecurities galor) and dropped them to their knees (with upper cuts to the solar plexus).

But they learned to accept personal responsibility for it all.

When they smiled as they dwelled upon the good memories of Kit, were suddenly cloaked in the sadness of “missing” her, they let tears well up and fall, but not to the point of being sucked into the abyss of sorrow.

And when the moment approached that Bette DECIDED that she was going allow herself to be fully vulnerable and trusting with Tina to draw out the spirituality of unabashed sexual intimacy, Tina took her by the hand to go to the sanctuary that was prepared with candles, a fire . . .

I really like how once given the knod to proceed, Tina was unhurried (her eyes swam with love as she looked at her lover. She slowly made her way across the room . . . . ) and confident (Her steps purposeful and sexy as hell. Her eyes never leaving the brunette’s) with a heart that was ever mindful to reassure Bette, to “hold back just a bit to make sure her lover was comfortable. That she felt safe”.

The blonde moved slowly, wanting to show Bette all the love she had. Her hands filled with the lushness of Bette’s breasts . . . I wanted to do this all night. The blonde murmured reverently. She stepped around the brunette and slowly pulled the zipper down on that fabulous dress.

She wanted to do things tonight step by step . . . Not wanting Bette to feel alone or exposed unnecessarily. To me, that attitude is the essence of the maturity gained over the years by both of them. Tina taking the lead AND Bette having learned to allow it. NO more of doing everything her way and expecting Tina to go along.

But then! Right as Tina was about to remove her dress and stand before Bettes’ searching eyes, she is overcome with shyness and UNcertainty. Confusion. Insecurity of wondering if Bette would accept the changes from the passage of time to her body. Would Bette look at her as she once did? I figure that it had been 2hys since the divorce but probably the year before that with little or no physical intimacy, where desire and lust may have waned as they focused on their careers and on raising Angie. And with menopause upon them, a body can change a lot in 3 or 4 years. Uuuugh!!!

But!! In spite of the questions/fears that immediately arose in Bette’s mind when Tina suddenly put the brakes on the flow of the seduction, she pressed Tina to speak honestly. And Tina spoke . . . HONESTLY . . . “I uh, I may not look the same as I did a few years ago. My body’s um . . . Changed a bit”

Bette: “And I will still love every inch of it.” Bette reached up and caressed Tina’s cheek lovingly. Relief finally washing over her. No matter our age. I’ve changed a bit too. You’ll see.

“But NOW, LET’S DO THIS TOGETHER”

That sums up the whole matter. This is why we’re Tibette deciples 4evah!!!

      • D – You DID sum it up just right – LET’S DO THIS TOGETHER

This is so true of their entire relationship & why we still love them all these years later. No matter the situation or the elements involved – the LOVE each other. PERIOD – DONE. And FOREVER!!!

Thanks for your support & the kind words you’ve left in the comments for this chapter. You truly get my intent & how I envisioned their reconnection & commitment to each other.

You were right about it being a SLOW climb up as I myself questioned the timing often. They have grown as individuals & as a couple – taking responsibility for their actions, thoughts & decisions – both good & bad.

You hit it right on the top of the nail – Bette was finally ready to be the equal partner that Tina wanted & needed & that they both deserved.

Tina knew she had to be gentle, loving and supportive of Bette & led her to this next step. And she was until she had that slight doubt about herself & her image. But Bette handled it excellently & they both proceeded TOGETHER – like they did with all things in their life.

Your own vision & insight into them is refreshing & so right on target.

Thanks for seeing my vision & enjoying the outcome.

Take care my friend & stay safe.

    5. Posting for LeighS who seems to be experiencing technical problems today –

Wow – you had me in tears too when I was reading this! The love they have for each other just jumped from the pages and wrapped around my own heart.

I was scared too when they both questioned each other and were unsure if they had done the right thing or had they made a mistake.

You would think that a couple that has been together for this long would know all there is to know, but that’s not always the case. As you told us earlier in the story, there was many things that Tina hadn’t told Bette about her childhood and all the pain it caused her. So it seemed natural that there still might be things that they can discover about each other in a good way too. It helps keep their love alive and fresh. But then Bette stepped up and put those fears aside. Reassuring Tina that she’d love her no matter what and they would continue to grow old together.

Fantastic job Collins. You get the Gold Star from me.
Can’t wait for the next chapter!

      • Leigh.
Gosh I agree that “secrets reveal” was a nice touch in the relationship. They recognized that NObody knows “everything” about their beloved, but asking each other to search their memories and tell a story that may seem silly offered further materiel for friendly banter and giggles. And it really doesn’t matter whether the story teller was the rascal or the saint! One ends up with a sense of being closer. Loved it.

I loved that in spite of Amy’s mindless flirtation with being “slapped” by Bette for forcing herself on Tina and disregarding Bette’s very presence, our girl took her clues from Tina that she (Tina) would forcefully shut the unwanted intrusion down and so Bette pretty much held her peace. HeHeHe.

I like that Tibette had learned to wait until they were in the privacy of their home to address touchy subjects like “who is she and what was she to you”??? They continued to enjoy their evening and didn’t let any intrusion throw them into self-righteous screeds or finger-pointing. The cuddled b4 the fire, sipped their drink, reminisced about Kit, continue with “secrets reveal, then eventually got down to “the talk” concerning “Amy-Bit*%”!!

        Bette knows she tickled me!!
Bette: “I wanted to tear her apart”
Tina: “Glad you didnt. That would have been messy.”

        • I thought Collins did a really great job with the scene between Tina, Bette and Amy. Yeah, Bette wants to tear her apart and shove her in a brown bag, but she allows Tina to hold her ground and is supportive.

Nice that you liked the ‘secret reveals’ too! I like all the little details in the chapters – they give us a better understanding of the characters and how they think and fell.

          Thanks

          • Hey Leigh,

So nice to her that you appreciate all the ‘little details’ I try to put into the story – it helps to fill in some of the time frames we didn’t see or know about from OG or the 10 years before GQ started.

            Thanks

    6. At last! (it’s about Bette and Tina and their exercises in the bedroom). Thank you for the chapter!

P.S. We still don’t know what the deal with Tina’s assistant, i’m curious :)

      • Hiya Zhenya,

I know I felt the same way – AT LAST!!!!!
It’s been a lonnnggggg time coming – but finally!!!!

So Tina’s assistant – I had originally planned to take that little subplot in a certain direction, but now – honestly I think it will die a quick & quiet death. The story has changed direction a bit & it now appears to me that its not the direction to go in now. So, I’ll enter some explanation that is believable & makes sense, but she was never a threat to them anyway.
I promise to explain it before the story is finished.

Thanks for reaching out – Always love to see your comments.

    7. Collins – I just got off 2 double shifts and haven’t had a chance to read your update yet.
But I promise I will tomorrow as I am now off for 2 days and can catch up with life and my reading.
      Thank god.
Will let you know my thoughts.
      Thanks

    8. Finally , YESSSSS !!

And this Amy woman, so dense Jesus !
Happy that Bette didn’t blow her up, it would have ruin the rest of the date…

      Great chapter, thank you Collins.

      • Hi Izzie,

I know – FINALLY!!!!!! It seemed liked it took forever, but they finally got to the finish line!!!

I wanted to show the maturity in both Bette & Tina & the growth that they’ve gone through the past years. Glad it came through in the writing.

        You are so welcome.

        Until next chapter!!!

    9. I agree with many of the other comments – At LAST!!!
Their coming together was great. – so long awaited and wanted.

I loved their entire date – it was so rich with details, feelings, thoughts and yearning for each other. This is how I saw them – compassionate towards each other, madly in love and supportive of each other.

We all know Amy was a bitch and deserved the brushoff by Tina and Bette. Like Bette said – clueless!

Loved their honest talk back home – they needed to get all those things out in the open – no more secrets or hiding things.

Like some others have mentioned – I liked the ‘secret game from their past’ – some unknown things about each other. Waiting to see what you come up with next!

Their love making was tender and so welcome. I was clapping for them!!!!

      Great job Collins!

      • The date just morphed into this 2 chapter thing – it was originally just this little chapter & I kept wanting to add this & then that & it just grew & became this 20K 2 chapters. Crazy!!!

They can’t hide things from the other & have to be totally honest for this time around to last forever.

Thanks for following along & keeping the faith!!!

    10. Hi Collins,

I apologize that it took over a week before i had the time to read this chapter. After my overnight shifts last weekend I still had to recover for a few days and your story deserves to be read with a clear head.

I have to agree fully with the comments of my fellow readers! They are spot on and i love to read them and your replies to them.

The scene with Amy, Tina and Bette was really good, god what a character that woman is! Love the inner thoughts of Bette! She has matured and let Tina take the lead in the conversation. Well written part just like everything else.
They are fully committed and Bette was finally able to go forward in their relationship and show Tina she was in for all of it.

Sad that this story will have a few chapters but looking forward to the new story!

      • Hey Bibi,

Absolutely no need for an apology, I am sorry to hear you had those overnight shifts. They do take a lot out of you & it does take time to get your body back to a normal routine. Hopefully, all is good now!!

So glad you liked the chapter & all that was in it. There definitely was a lot of stuff, feelings & actions.

They just took another giant step on their path to forever!!!

As I’ve said before, I might revisit at some point in the future to check in with them.

        Until next time my friend!!!

    11. I have, over the last week, reread the whole story which has been a very pleasant experience, thank you.

You have, of course, been trying from the start to rectify the storyline of the new Show whilst ignoring some of it’s storylines such as the engagement to Carrie. I think you have succeded and I have enjoyed the ride.

Thank you for the enjoyment you have given with this story, I am sorry to see it nearing it’s end but look forward with eager anticipation to your new story.

Thanks for the post, more soon please
      Stay safe,
      SG

      • Hey my friend,

You ROCK with rereading the entire story – I KNOW if haven’t!!!!
Sometimes I will look back for a detail or something specific just to keep me on the right path as I move the story forward.
So thank you very, very much for the effort & I am so happy that you have enjoyed the long ride. A year ago, I didn’t think I would still be here, but here I am!!!

My heart though is breaking for what might lie ahead for our Fav couple in GQ. It doesn’t look favorable for a reunion. Ugh!!!
But we will always have Fan Fic to keep the faith & lots of great writers to bring us awesome stories.

Looks like 3 more chapters to this story & then maybe an update later this year to check in with them.

But my new story is really taking shape & will soon be ready for posting.

Thank you so very much for all your support & confidence in me & this story.

        Keep safe yourself.

Received my 2nd Covid shot this week!!!!

        Until next time.

        Collins

    12. Loved this chapter! So enjoyed Bette being jealous of Amy; you showed perfectly that Bette just can’t stand Tina with anyone else. It was so cute them telling each other a secret. Of course the best part of the chapter was them finally making love. Yes, they are older and their bodies may have changed, but with the kind of love and passion they have for each other it doesn’t matter. By the time Bette was crying i was, too.

      • Thank you Westy for your comment. I warms my heart to know that you loved the chapter & all the little details.
Everyone thinks they know ALL about their partner but there are little fun ‘secrets’ they may not know – so that realization was the idea behind their little game. Glad you thought it was fun too.

You are absolutely right about their aging – but love knows no barriers .

Thanks for your appreciation of the chapter.
        A few more to come!!!

    13. ‘Slow and steady was the method for the evening,’ …….BUT – FINALLY!!!!!!
It did seem to take forever, but I think that was right and what a ‘finish line’ it was !!
You definitely showed the maturity in both Bette & Tina, the growth they’d gone through. It certainly came through in your writing.
Love that Angie asked if they ‘got lucky,’ she so want them back together, would love to know just how much they tell her – although Angie’s not stupid she knows how much her Mums love each other and knows where they would have ended up on there second first date – brilliant sorry it’s coming to and end but ‘all great things come to an end’ but until then I look forward to your next posts, stay safe

      • Hey Janice,

Happy to see that your comment posted this time around!!

I know – FINALLY!!! It did indeed seem like it took forever – but it was so worth the wait.

Thanks for the kind words on the writing – it’s a pleasure to bring entertaining stories to life.

Angie is fun to write about, it’s a bit of a stretch to get the mind set of a teenager today, but she loves her moms & wants them happy. There’s a little scene with what she finds out in the next chapter – you’ll enjoy it.

Thanks again & keep safe yourself.

    14. Hiya Collins! Huge congratulations on writing such an epic reconciliation. You really have a killer way with a cliffhanger, lol. Amy was truly a bolt from the blue and I admit I was a bit unnerved by the fact that Tina hadn’t mentioned dating at all to Bette. But it was essential that Bette demonstrate self-awareness about her own behaviour even while she’s wigging out about it…. Very good and important growth for B.

I’m delighted to have caught up with this story! Great work from you. Thank you very much, my friend x

      • Hey L,

Thanks for letting me know you are still following this story.

As you know from your own writing, offering something to bring the reader back for the next chapter – so cliffhangers are one way in which to do just that.

They have grown so much as individuals & as a couple.
        Enjoy!!!!
