Molly asks Shay, “Is your bag all packed? Got your lunch money?”

            “Yeah,” Shay replies.

            “Alright, then. Let’s go,” Shane grunts, as she picks up her car keys. Shay and Molly gather their bags and head out the door with Shane.

            After dropping Shay off at school, Shane and Molly stop at The Planet to get coffee before class starts for the day. As they go to place their order, Kit comes up beside them.

            “Whatcha doin’ up so early, girl?” Kit says, playfully elbowing Shane.

            “School,” Shane replies sourly.

            “She hasn’t had any coffee yet this morning,” Molly says laughing. She walks up to the counter and orders Shane a double shot of espresso and a latte for herself. Turning to Kit, she says, “We start class today and we are not off to a good start! Totally overslept this morning.”

            “Up late?!” Kit asks playfully, raising her eyebrows and laughing. Molly laughs while Shane grimaces. The barista delivers their coffee and Molly hands Shane her espresso, which Shane drinks immediately.

            “Sorry Kit, but we have to get going,” Shane says, finally lucid.

            “Good luck,” Kit calls after them as they head off to CU.

            When Shane and Molly arrive at CU, Molly hops out of the jeep and heads to the trunk to fetch her bag. Shane, however, hesitates and stays in the car. Molly comes around to the driver’s side and asks, “You coming?”

            “Yeah, I guess,” Shane says unconvincingly.

            Molly opens the door and Shane steps out. Molly kisses her, taking Shane by surprise. “What was that for?” Shane says laughing.

            “To take your mind off being nervous.”

            “I’m not nervous,” Shane protests.

            “Sure, whatever you say, babe,” Molly says playfully, tossing Shane’s camera bag as she walks away.

            “Fuck you,” Shane says jokingly as she runs up behind Molly and wraps her arms around her.

            Molly leans her head back to kiss Shane and then whispers, “Maybe later.”

            “You’re bad,” Shane says laughing, as she comes up next to Molly and takes her hand, as they walk. They walk in comfortable silence for a few minutes. As they approach the center of the campus, Shane asks, “Where’s your class at again?”
