Tina thought about for a few seconds, she was feeling bad for him and guilt wasn’t something Tina managed well. After all he had gone through all the trouble of planning this dinner and buying the ring and finding the courage to go ahead and put into words what was in his heart. She felt she couldn’t let him be humiliated like that, she loved Eric and the guilt of hurting him like that was too much to handle at the moment.

“Ok Eric…” Tina shyly said.

“Ok… you’ll marry me?” He asked with a smile on his face.

“Yes…” But Tina was interrupted before she could say the words “I’ll take the ring and I’ll think about it”.

“You are making me the happiest man on earth baby… I love you so much” Eric said with the hugest smile on his face Tina had ever seen. He quickly grabbed Tina’s left hand and put the ring in the finger and kissed her softly on the lips.

Whole bunches of “aaawwww” were heard all over the restaurant and people immediately started clapping and cheering at the new engaged couple.

Oh my god… What the fuck did I just agreed to? Tina immediately thought to herself, she wasn’t looking happy and excited at all and deep down Eric knew what he was doing. Tina was feeling coerced into a wedding.

A few days later Tina’s and Eric’s entire families were all over the place with wedding preparations. Tina felt she was going insane, it was only a week ago she was in London enjoying the company of her friends and… and the only person she truly loved and all of the sudden she was being pressured to set a date for a wedding. She thought she was about to loose it.

“Look Eric… all I’m saying is you are rushing things ok?” Tina was extremely annoyed.

“Perhaps I am… but baby I love you… you love me… I don’t understand why you wanna wait” Eric was truly clueless at the moment, and Tina knew that if she had to rationally explain why she wanted to delay the setting of a date to walk down the aisle, she would have to admit to herself and the world that she was confused about her feelings for somebody else, confused to say the least. And that would not only break Eric’s heart but her family’s as well.
