Tasha: “you’re right…, Maurice, please follow that other helicopter without been very obvious.”
They followed surreptitiously the other chopper, finding a farm in the place where it landed; from their position in the sky, it was clear that the farm was very well built and coincided with the description of Kennard’s mother properties. Peabody’s helicopter landed a little far away and the officers get off and carefully reached a hill from where they could observe a tall and thick blonde man leaving the helicopter accompanied by several guards, some other thugs were already outside the house, they could also see a big truck parked in an open garage.
Captain Fields: “they outnumber us; we need to come tomorrow with reinforcements.”
Duffy: “how many officers could you bring?”
Captain Fields: “I’m afraid no so many, we are four and I have to leave one in the station.”
Duffy: “I heard that lieutenant Jane will be here early, and perhaps she is bringing reinforcements”
While Duffy and captain Fields were talking, Tasha noticed that the guards didn’t lock the doors and there were no guards outside the building.
Tasha: “perhaps Tina, Bette, and Louise are not here.”
Duffy: “why do you think so?”
Tasha: “because all the guards entered the house, no guards outside, and something else…, where Don and his men are coming from?”
Duffy: “do you think the girls are in a different place?”
Captain Fields: “you’re correct; it’s possible they have escaped.”
Duffy: “if that’s the case, we better come tomorrow with a search warrant.”
Tasha: “I understand that lieutenant Rizzoli is bringing one.”
Duffy: “okay, but if what you said is right maybe the three girls are wandering looking for help.”
Tasha: “yes, that is very possible…, but is late and it’s getting dark…, we can’t search for them in the darkness…”
Captain Fields: “and it will be dangerous to use the chopper at night…, we may come tomorrow morning, as early as possible.”
Duffy: “yes, we better get going to Old Faithful.”
