“Yeah, but they have you seen them this week?” Alice said, holding her hands in front of her, emphasising her concern.

“Al… they’ve been here every morning!”

    “But they weren’t getting on…”

“They didn’t even kiss when Bette left for work…” Dana piped in.

Alice and Shane both look to Dana; they looked back to one another and nodded in agreement. “Wow, Dana, you are so right, I don’t think they have kissed once this week…”

“Hey guys, how you doin? And where is my baby Sis?”

“Hi Kit…” Alice, Shane and Dana came the chorus.

“What’s goin on, why are you all looking so worried… huh?” Kit said, taking a seat with the gang.

Alice looked to Shane, her gaze returning to Kit, “we’re kinda concerned…”

    “About…?”

“Bette and Tina haven’t kissed all week…” Alice said sadly.

Kit laughed, “are you fucking serious…” she looked from one to the other, and back to Alice, “fuck… you are serious, maybe they did the kissing business before they left home?” Kit added, shrugging her shoulders.

“But Bette ALWAYS kisses T goodbye before she goes to work!” Alice said with concern wracked across her face, “there is something wrong… I just know it!”

    “I think you’re jumping the gun here…”

“Look, I did this top ten for LA Magazine…”

Shane, Dana and Kit all looked at one another, each rolling their eyes simultaneously.

“Guys… its proven, not kissing in public is number 4 in the top ten of when things are going wrong…”

Kit looked to Shane as she watched her sink down into her seat, her eyes down cast at the thought of her favourite couple falling apart; she whispered from behind her expresso, “they just can’t…”

“You know what this would be like… if something happened between these two… don’t you?” Alice said seriously.

“What?” Kit asked, still mystified over the unfolding drama.

Alice looked up, eyeing each one slowly as she said the words, “It would be like the sea without the shore…”

“Oh please…” Kit laughed, “guys, there is nothing wrong with my baby girl and her woman… she would have told me…” she looked around at the downcast eyes, her mind began to wander, “she would have told me… wouldn’t she…?”

    1. Well i think all the Situations are really funny …but this one is hilarious….can just see them all sitting around…trying to out do each other….Priceless!….Love it!..

    2. That Titanic thing of Dana’s was pretty screwed up, true to the cliche-fest, but contrary to the spirit. But what else would you expect from Dana? This whole chapter was like a mountain from a molehill.

    3. Okay someone help me out here. I don’t get it. *scratches head* It was cute and funny, but I just don’t get it. :( I feel like I have a cigarette and no lighter…

    4. God, yes, freakin’ hilarious!!! I couldn’t stop laughing, but the “Titanic without an iceberg” and “vibrator without batteries” were the end of me!!! LMFAO…!!! Jo, what can I say,… you’re the best!

    5. You know there are a few authors on this site that have a gift such as yours…a gift to write great situations…of all shapes and sizes…your one of the best…Thanks!

    6. It was so funny when they obviously lost sight of why they were doing this and it became a competitiom! “Like a vibrator without batteries” was my personal favorite (it also served as a reminder…). Anyway, great, as usual, but yeah–why no kissie poo for a week?

    7. I think I’ve promised you to leave comments here on the site, so here is what first came to mind when reading this……”Like fanfic without Jobadge”…..but I guess you’ve heard that somewhere before :o))

    8. That was very funny but yet compassionate. All the girls were concerned for Bette and Tina and then their little game started. Lets see, a movie without popcorn, cheese without wine, and the sun without the blue sky.
