    “Oh my god! Bette!” Tina was quick to arrive at the woman’s side, just in time to capture her falling body. It was so light in her arms, too light for a 5’8’’ woman. “Somebody help!” She cried and screamed, until Carmen jumped beside her and told the others to call up the doctor. —-

    She later was informed that Bette had been suffering from appendicitis for some time. And her body, under ever lasting pressure, had been stretched to its maximum resilience until it was finally let loose. The sudden relaxation had caused her appendix to burst. Transported to a hospital in discretion, operated on, and taken care of the wounds that weren’t healing properly, Bette slept, for the longest time in her life.

    In a dreamless darkness, Bette felt secured for some reason. It might be the constant pressure holding her hand, or the small whispers that were either to comfort her or to intimidate her but failing undeniably.

    Tina ran her palm across the gauzed midriff, finding those once taunt and prominent abs had now gone a bit feeble, and there was not an ounce of disposable fat underneath the grayish skin. She angled her head up to nip at the brunette’s bottom lip, “How long since you’ve eaten a proper meal, hmm? You’re in so much trouble when you wake up…”

    Bette purred in response, lashes fluttering and chest heaving. She had finally mustered up enough courage and strength to another attempt at confronting reality. But there was a slight hunch, that the reality would welcome her return.

    “Wake up, baby… I’m here. I got you, come back for me.” Tina pestered the sleeping beauty with a dozen more pecks, and waited in elation for the dark eyes to regain focus.

    Big doe eyes blinked several times, coating a thin layer of tears to protect the dilated pupils from the light. Then those black dots shrunk to a reasonable size, shivering a little on the chocolate brown discs. Bette opened her mouth to say something, but her windpipe was raw and scratchy, her tongue dry and numb.

    A cup of clear liquid magically appeared in front of her to ease the discomfort. The brunette gulped from it, hands grasping the pale one holding the cup in fear it would be taken away.

      I don’t actually know how the agencies work in the US, I just looked them up in wikipedia and bullshitted a lot. Anything to bring the two back together, ya know?

      Shout out to Bibi, pikiangelica, dunn, wkm, tanishaa, lip, and all the other silent viewers. You’re the reason I keep writing. I’m thankful that you stuck with this story during the darkest time and bumpy roads lol. From now on, it’s gonna be a pretty smooth ride.

    5. Well I have something to say, I’m mad at you Robyn because this story is not supposed to end yet… I want more.. I love this story, it’s great and different and great and yeah really great… So I’m not ready for the last chapter.. I want sappy but I also want more… And if we have to have a last chapter please make it with lots and lots of loving-NC-17 type loving and very very long with lots of cute sappy moments and great conversations.. And information on what happens to other key players…

    6. Well HELENA is a good guy after all. TINA was right to call him on this and defend BETTE.YEAH you got the agencies right all about self and not about sacrifices of the one doing the work.now let’s really get these two off by themselves so the healing can begin and thanks for posting.

    10. Wonderful chapter. This has been areal nail biter for me, I can’t wait to see what happens next for these two. Maybe you could even do a little something special for Helena for helping Bette out. The feds are trying to take all of Bette’ money but I’m sure she probable has some stashed so she and Tina can start their new lives without having to worry about being poor. PPS :)
