    So they brought out the big guy. Morris looked a little defeated, not knowing Shane was totally bluffing. “Fine, I give you one day.”

    “Good enough for me.”

    It turned out, indeed, good enough for the operatives in Mexico. They apprehended a truck full of smuggled women from the country on its way to some major pimps in California.

    The FBI agent grudgingly called up his superior and signed some paperwork as they got to an agreement with the CIAs.

    Bette was not expecting this kind of leniency when Shane told her that she would soon to be relieved of all charges. The only punishment were to turn over every last cent of her illegal income to the country, and agree to not leave the confinement of the area her new identity allowed. They also went out of their length to leak a “top-secret announcement” that Bette Porter, “Vincent”, really died in Xavier, whether the Irish cared or not was no longer their concern. If felt like a daze, as she tried to grasp this uncanny change of her fate. She wanted to celebrate, to tell Tina about this news, but something inside her burst, and a tide of pain, unlike anything she had felt before, ripped her like a dagger digging out smashed flesh.

    Tina practically begged Shane to let her in and see the soon to be free woman. The CIA agent gave her a nod and she was lunching for the door. “Bette!” Her voice gave away her excitement as she broke through the door.

    “Tina…” The brunette tried to mirror the teary smile on Tina’s face, but her feet wobbled when she stood. A panicked look flashed across the wounded face.

    “Bette? Baby are you ok?”

    “I don’t—I don’t feel so good.” An understatement to her condition. But she didn’t want to worry the blonde.

      I don’t actually know how the agencies work in the US, I just looked them up in wikipedia and bullshitted a lot. Anything to bring the two back together, ya know?

      Shout out to Bibi, pikiangelica, dunn, wkm, tanishaa, lip, and all the other silent viewers. You’re the reason I keep writing. I’m thankful that you stuck with this story during the darkest time and bumpy roads lol. From now on, it’s gonna be a pretty smooth ride.

    5. Well I have something to say, I’m mad at you Robyn because this story is not supposed to end yet… I want more.. I love this story, it’s great and different and great and yeah really great… So I’m not ready for the last chapter.. I want sappy but I also want more… And if we have to have a last chapter please make it with lots and lots of loving-NC-17 type loving and very very long with lots of cute sappy moments and great conversations.. And information on what happens to other key players…

    6. Well HELENA is a good guy after all. TINA was right to call him on this and defend BETTE.YEAH you got the agencies right all about self and not about sacrifices of the one doing the work.now let’s really get these two off by themselves so the healing can begin and thanks for posting.

    10. Wonderful chapter. This has been areal nail biter for me, I can’t wait to see what happens next for these two. Maybe you could even do a little something special for Helena for helping Bette out. The feds are trying to take all of Bette’ money but I’m sure she probable has some stashed so she and Tina can start their new lives without having to worry about being poor. PPS :)
