Chapter 118&119
Bette wandered down to the paddock – it was a warm spring day so Tina had lead the foal and her mother outside to enjoy the grass. The foal was exploring as much as possible under the gaze of his mother. Tina was in with the horses brushing one of the other horses down.
Bette gestured for Tina to come across
“What’s up ?”
“The hurricane has arrived “
“Willow ? how is she ?”
“I just said – hurricane and a grumpy one at that “
Tina looked at her
“She just told me to butt out “
Tina frowned “ Willow needs to learn some manners – she isn’t talking to you like that “
“I think it was just a trial for how she’s planning to talk to your father. Finn says she’s
demanding that he drive her to your father’s apartment “
Tina shook her head “ This is where its going to get ugly isn’t it ?”
“Pretty much “ Bette agreed.
Tina handed the brush to Bette and climbed over the fence and landed next to her partner.
Bette kissed her on the lips
“Fasten your seat belt – we are in for a bumpy ride “
When Bette and Tina walked into the kitchen Sarah was making breakfast for Willow who was sitting eating an apple.
“Hey sis “ Tina said
“Tina “
The two sisters embraced – Bette was again reminded how alike they were in personality and looks.
“Do you know where he is hiding out ?” Willow asked Tina
“Yes “
“Right – straight after I have eaten we can go and see him –I have a lot to say to him”
“Steady on” Tina said “Take a deep breath “
“So you are allowed to go mental on him and so is Finn but the baby of the family has to just watch him destroy this family “
“Its more complicated than that “ Bette said
Willow looked at Bette “ And I have told you that its nothing to do with you ?”
“WILLOW “ Sarah rebuked “ That is out of line “

Very nice arse kicking Ms. Porter – glad to see this story back.
This is really a verry difficult situation for all of them. Thanks god, that Bette is there.Great story.PPS
I love all your stories, but I have to say that this one is one of my favorites!! I love how Bette and Tina are so in love and respect each other!! Just great writing!! Love Bette telling Tina’s dad the way it is- go Bette!!! Good job girl!! PPS
Willow needs to get out all her anger just like everyone else, maybe she can throw some hay bales around or something. Thank goodness for Bette the peacemaker, she has lent an air of calm and commonsense into all this and so far they have been listening to her, hope it continues. They all need a resolution and Niall is the only one that can give it to them. I just hope Willow doesn’t deck him when she sees him, although I couldn’t blame her if she does, he does deserve it. He also needs to clear the air with Sarah before he talks to his children then he can say whatever he wants then get the hell out. If he insists on giving a share of the farm, and profits, etc to the new child, he just might not come out alive. He needs to leave that the hell alone and excplain his actions to everyone and leave them in peace. Everyone knows their parents have not been happy in a very long time so this may be the only way that they can live peacefully. By living n an open marriage they were able to explore being with others until they found that special person for themselves, which Niall found first, unfortunatley he was a coward and did not go to Sarah with the info and just walked away leaving everyone upset and to imagine whatever their minds could conjure up what had happened and with no real resolution. Maybe this meeting will not end in his murder and he can walk away peacefully and his children not totally hating him. For Sarah this is probably good riddance. Can hardly wait for the next chapter. Thanks so much for posting. PPS
Thanks for updating. Loved Bette as the peacemaker.
I am always happy to see your stories!
I love Bette the peacekeeper! PPS
Oh you’re back!…how’s the vacation? I love this story [as much as “The Wing”] I can see why Willow is angry.. Can understand what she’s feeling. But to direct that to someone you’re not angry off?..Kinda unfair to that person?..And what kind of person you are, if you allow that to happen? Your family is not the enemy here, and so is Bette …Be waiting for the showdown, Niall and the rest of Them!
Excellent I have missed this story. Thank you very much.
I think they should Willow go and vent her Anger at her dad, Niall deserves it. If I was them i would have disown him. He was so unhappy, he should gotten the divorce and not hide like a kitchen and then demanding that his new baby gets a share of the farm after leaving his wife alone to take care of the farm. Go willow! don’t let the others stop you from telling your dad off.
A hero indeed!
Way to go Bette!!! I love it!!! Thank you Ally
First of all let me say how hyped I was when you returned early with post of ITL (You said that you where taking a month off and I was counting the days). It’s GREAT to have you back. CONGRADULATIONS and we all wish you continued success and strength. As the lyrics to one of my favorite singer son say “Life is a journey, not a destination”. Thank you for allowing use to take this journey with you through your writing. Now to this story, I feel that it is VERY IMPORTANT that Willow is allowed the same oppurtunity to vent her feelings to their father taht Tina and Finn were given. Being the youngest does NOT make your feeling or voice less valuable or valid. Bette is right that Naill’s need to step up and take responsibility for his action, but part of that should be hearing Willow out and taking the heat from her. Because at the end of the day, being the youngest of this older children, she will have to deal with the consquences of his actions the longest. I understand Tina’s reaction, but she needs to be mature enough to step back and realize that her initial reaction was just as bad as Willow’s and Willow has had to live with her frustation longer and with no way to relieve her anger because Niall’s was hiding out. While Bette and Sarah admitted this to each other, they should have been brave or supportive enough to point it out to Tina. This would have helped both Tina and Willow. Thanks for the update. PPS :o).
