“Thanks. They don’t exactly match but I guess they’ll do.” Bette said pulling them on. They occasionally shared clothes but mostly it was bulky sweaters or sweat shirts. Because of their different body styles, coloring and build there wasn’t much that they could pull off from each other’s wardrobe but wearing Tina’s panties was kind of a turn-on.

Bette made a show of moisturizing her legs and arms with lotion before getting dressed. This time instead of sitting on the ottoman she stood and raised one leg up at a time to apply the lotion with her back to Tina so she had the perfect view. “You’re incorrigible” Tina laughed as she swatted Bette’s ass with a towel on her way to the bathroom.

“You know you like it.” Bette answered wiggling her butt for effect before sitting down and putting on her socks followed by the tight jeans and sweater. She put on the same ankle boots that she’d worn the day before and quickly ran a brush through her hair towel dried hair and put it in a ponytail so it wouldn’t get frizzy.

Tina came out of the bathroom similarly dressed in jeans and sweater. Even though she was having a business meeting with William, Aaron and Kate later that day there was no need for business attire. She dressed comfortably for the weather and the long ride back to Bette’s ranch house.

Neither bothered with much make-up. They were running about 10 minutes late by the time they left their hotel room to get on the elevator to the lobby. When the doors opened the beautiful black woman whom they’d not met but was known to them as Tasha Williams stepped out and blocked their entry. She looked both ways down the hallway to make sure she wasn’t seen then whispered “I need to talk to both you.”

“We were just heading down to brunch, my friends are waiting and we haven’t seen our son since last night. Can this wait?” Bette asked pressing the button again on the elevator so the doors re-opened.

“No it can’t Ms. Porter. I only need five minutes. Can we please step back into your room? I don’t want anyone to hear this conversation, and it’s really not a good idea for me to be seen talking with you while I’m trailing Kate Arden.”

“Is this about Kate? Where is she?” Tina asked panicked that Kate had slipped away again.
“It’s not about Kate. Don’t worry about her. She’s not going anywhere. One of my men is guarding her.”
Tasha said as she moved the couple back down the hallway towards their room. Tina pulled the magnetic key from her pocket and inserted it into the lock to open the door.

Once inside with the door closed Bette asked. “OK what’s so important? I thought Trevor was going to call me with any news?”

“He thought it would be better if I delivered the news in person.” Tasha answered turning towards Tina.

“So this is about William?”

“Yes Ms. Kennard. We have evidence that links William Halsey to known associates in the black market. We believe that Eric has made a deal with these people to sell the negatives to a foreign distributor. They will likely dub the film in some foreign language and release it under a different name in the underground.”

“How is William involved?” Bette asked.

“We tracked two wire transfers to off-shore accounts this morning. The deposits were made from various banks and in various amounts but ultimately we traced the origination of the funds back to a dummy company owned by Halsey Holdings. We think this is the payoff, but the funds are on hold which means Eric hasn’t delivered the goods yet.” Tasha finished.

“That fucking son of a bitch.” Tina was flabbergasted.
