    Soul Harvest: Chapter 49

This food is amazing and this place is so cute and cozy! Tina was impressed with her sisters taste, as was Bette.

I thought you guys would like it. Theres nothing quite like this part of the city. Boston is a very unique place.

Apparently. Bette said, taking a sip of wine and another bite of food. What made you choose Boston?

Scholarship. Well, that and I wanted to stay east and not go west like Tina. I love it out here.

It seems like a great place to live and Boston has a great reputation for being really liberal and educated. But… I could never stand the winters. I grew up in Philly and I knew I could never stay somewhere with winters like that.

Julie laughed. Its pretty bad in the winter but I love the snow. I live for winter sports like Tina.

Bette watched the interaction between Tina and her sister and smiled warmly, feeling their mutual love. She coveted their friendship and sisterly bond, never sharing that with her own sister, Kit. Julie was beautiful but she didnt hold a flame over Tina who radiated. Bette snatched her hand under the table, squeezing it. The gesture didnt go unnoticed by Julie.

So, you guys have been together for a while now, huh? Hows it all going?

Great. Tina said, smiling. Ive never been happier.

I can tell. Ive never seen you glow like that. Julie grinned. I dont care what mom and dad say, I think its great.

Tina looked at her with confusion. Mom and dad talked to you about this?

Julies face reddened. Well… yeah I guess. Not like a lot or anything but theyve mentioned it once or twice. I hope youre not expecting miracles or anything this weekend.

Not miracles just respect. Tina replied as Bette stiffened.

Were just going to be ourselves this weekend, no pretending were something that were not. Your parents know were together and we plan on acting like that, so if theyre uncomfortable its not our fault. Bette explained.

I totally get that. Julie began. And I agree with you. Itll be good for them I think to see Tina with you. They need to see it firsthand. Theyll see how much you love her and how much Tina loves you. Its hard to miss.
