Soul Mates – Chapter 15 ((Final Chapter))

Her stomach churned as she took note that some of those clouds were greying. The smell of water was also in the air but it was hard to tell if it was due to a possible rainstorm or the river beside them. Tina really hoped it was the latter, it would suck to have all her luck run out now.
    "Damn Tina, this looks amazing"
Alice’s voice pulled Tina from her thoughts as they stood on the finished runway to admire the result of all their hard work. Tina turned to look at her friend with a wide smile that equally matched Alice’s, they were both beyond impressed with the end result.
Everything was finally done and set up, the last few chairs were being put in place by a few scrambling men. The tables for the banquet were neatly set up beside the river, small lanterns were lined up around it and set to an automatic timer, they would turn on once the sun sets. Bette added her own personal touch to the show and Tina couldn’t be happier about that. Beautiful hand crafted designs hung all over and took the place of anything Tina could ever hope to buy in a store. Colored lights were placed behind the clear shells hanging from either trees or the lining of the runway, each shell having its own unique design which would illuminate the area in different colors and also in different ways. The lights were currently off since it was still daylight but would be turned on as soon as the show starts and the sun begins to set, Tina couldn’t wait.
The runway was set up so that it was facing the river, Bette’s shells and the lights would further awe the guests as they reflected off the still water beside them. Carmen’s DJ booth was also set up and beautifully decorated with Bette’s unique crafts. A pair of handcrafted yellow baby booties hung off the side of the booth, a small gift from Bette.

    2. This story has had a bit of everything… it’s been fantastic and a joy to read. I can’t wait for the epilogue, and whatever you choose to write next, I’ll be reading. Thank you, Liah! :)

    3. Fantastic chapter. Wonder if we could get you to write the remake of Sweet Home, with JB and LH starring in it. It would be a fantastic number one at the box office. I’m ready to contribute to that production. The story was wonderful. So happy that Tina decked one of them. Can’t get over peggy being an obnoxious bitch, glad Tina hit her and got two for one. Do we get a sequel or an epilogue? Thanks.
