Staring Into the Mirror Ch.1 : Getting on the same page.
It was a rare quiet moment at the Planet; of course it was seven in the morning. Andie had her elbows propped on the counter, her hands holding her chin up. She was having a hard time keeping her eyes open. Kit walked out of her office and to the counter; she smirked seeing Andies head nodding. Poor girl, Kit thought.
Hey girl. You working too much? Kit asked putting a gentle hand on Andies shoulder.
Andie jerked up, Wha? No, no. Im good, just not getting much sleep.
Well, you are working your ***** off. Between working here, Velvets, practicing and then of course, your woman. Id be drifting off too. Kit said.
Andie yawned. Hey careful about calling Shane my woman. When she hears anything like girlfriend or relationship she almost breaks out in hives.
Kit shook her head and laughed softly, Everything going okay between you guys?
Oh yeah, I just havent seen her in a week, unless you count when she comes here for a quick moment in the morning. Andie smiled.
Listen, you look exhausted take the next couple of days off. Everything will be fine here. I know youve been moving full steam ahead since your first show here. Kit rubbed Andies back.
Oh, no Kit Andie started to protest.
Go on, go sit at the regular table. The girls should be coming in soon. Kit started helping Andie take off her apron. Ill bring you some coffee.
Andie sighed, All right, boss.
Andie walked out from behind the counter and moved to the table, slouching down into a chair. Her hair was in a messy bun; different strands of her hair were falling out. Her white t-shirt clung to her curves. She went back to the same position she was in at the counter. Her hand pressing one of her cheeks up, distorting her pretty face slightly.
Alice and Dana trotted into the Planet. Dana was wearing a red and black running suit. Her brown hair in a high ponytail. Alice had her glasses on with her hair in pigtails. Faded jeans and a white button down shirt with a black sweater vest hugged her form. The two were deep in a conversation.
Dana you know you dont have much longer. When are you going to tell Tonya, at the alter? Alice spoke in a deep voice trying to imitate a man, Dana Fairbanks do you take Tonya to be your wife? She then switched to imitating Dana, Well, now that you bring that up, Sir, you know maybe its not such a good idea after all. Whew, Im glad thats over, all right everyone lets eat! She turned to look at Dana. You have to tell her, Dane.
