Bette slept the day away until Tina came and woke her up for dinner. Sitting down at the table to a light meal of soup and salad Bette had difficulty maintaining eye contact with Tina.

“Bette tonight is movie night and it is Angelica’s turn to pick what we watch. Would you like to watch a movie with us after dinner?”

“Sure I would love to. What movie did you choose Angelica?”

Angelica jumped up from the table and ran to the living room to the DVD collection. In a moment she was back in the kitchen proudly holding up Tinkerbelle. “This one! It’s my favorite.”

“Good choice that one use to be my favorite too when I was a little girl. But I didn’t have the DVD. I had the book.” Said Bette.

Tina just smiled as she watched them interact together.

As they all three gathered on the couch Tina made sure Bette was seated between her and Angelica. She thought as ruff as the last 24 hours had been on Bette she needed all the love she could get and who better to give it to her than herself and Angelica. Halfway through the movie Tina glanced over and saw Angelica sleeping snuggled into Bette’s embrace on her left side. Grabbing the remote she stopped the movie and got up to take Angelica to bed.

Bette realized what Tina was doing and said, “Tina I would like to put her to bed tonight if that is ok with you.”

“It’s fine Bette. While you are doing that I will put our glasses in the dishwasher.”

When Bette came back into the living room she found Tina waiting for her on the couch. Sitting down beside Tina she began to fidget with her clothes. Tina noticed her nervousness and took her hand to still the nervous motion.

“Bette I love you please don’t be afraid. I am not going to hurt you. I am so happy you came back into my life.”

“Tina I am sorry for the way I reacted to the things Rachel was saying to you the other night. I know my response to her words…me leaving and going to get drunk was not the right reaction. But I was just so scared Tina…she was right in everything that she said at least the part I stuck around to hear. I am afraid that you will soon realize what a screw up I am and not want me around you or Angelica anymore and I can’t say I would blame you.
